Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (to put quite bluntly) was outstanding. Not only did it keep you entranced with its nail biting turns and revelations, but also the humor and fun that we all love.
The first few chapters scared me a bit. I was wondering if this book would be far too serious for my taste. After getting into it, nothing could part me from the book until I reached page 652. The imagery used in this installment far surpassed any of J.K. Rowling's books thus far. Its equal balance of wit, angst, love, and thrill made this a story that will not only make you laugh, but also cry.
Things that I had found confusing in past books were now well explained in a way that anyone could understand, and once I had finished I realized how well everything fit. That is truly one of the best things about Half-Blood Prince; while you’re reading you have all of these theories that you are positive must be correct, but once you find out the real answers, you are completely shocked. The connection I built with these characters (as fictional as they may be) is so strong, I have to keep convincing myself it isn't real.
This book has definitely made my love for the Harry Potter series grow to such a high degree that I am almost dreading the movie, for I am sure it cannot do it justice.
