Pointers for writing to Emma:

  • When sending a letter to any of the Harry Potter stars, make sure that you have the correct mailing address (which has been given to you by a reliable source, such as us) and that you have also included a self addressed envelope. A self addressed envelope should be mailed with your letter, and have your correct name and address printed in legible writing on the front. Don't forget to attach the correct amount of stamps etc....This will increase your chances of receiving a reply enormously.
  • Think about what you are going to send! All actors receive fan mail which says, "I love you/your work!". Plan out what you are going to say ahead of writing the letter and make a few drafts if necessary. This will help you to overcome the initial excitement and ensure that your letter is composed and contains what you really want to say.
  • Most important pointer! NO rude or graphically obscene material. Pretty obvious one there. Not only will this reduce your chance of a response greatly, its an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience for the recipient. So please don't do it!

If you have already sent a letter, we know it seems like a long wait for a reply, but please be patient. If you have ticked off all of the pointers above then we are sure you will get a response, it will just take time!

If you have had a reply from any of the Harry Potter actors, please feel free to email us and tell us of your experience. We would love to let you share them with other fans! Email Claire with details of your experience.
