Harry Potter fan and University of Bedfordshire student Zoe Luckett is asking other fans of the Harry Potter series to fill out a survey in order to study if, and how, an individual’s personality impacts the level of parasocial interaction associated with their favorite Harry Potter character.
Researchers from Carnegie Mellon University, Shoou-I Yu, Yi Yang, and Alexander Hauptmann, were inspired by the Marauder’s Map from Harry Potter to create a complicated tracking program.
This summer the University of New Hampshire is offering an online class featuring Harry Potter, designed for kids entering 4th-8th grades. The course is called “Harry Potter as Storytelling: An Online Adventure for the Young Fan.”
