Check it out! A fan creates amazing fan art within her “Harry Potter” book

kelly-hippogriff

About once a week we like to feature talented artists on MuggleNet, fans who have taken their love of Harry Potter to the next level and fused it with their own creative talents in order to create something remarkable. Today, we would like to share the work of one of those fans who shared it with us first: Kelly. Within her own copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Kelly has drawn images of Buckbeak, a Dementor, and a portrait of the boy wizard himself! She has created them such that each piece takes up the entire width of the page, with J.K. Rowling’s original text popping through in places and even adding something in areas Kelly judged there should be less shading. If you would like to see some more cool fan art like Kelly’s, you should definitely browse the MuggleNet gallery right here, where we host thousands of images relevant to Potter fans. If you would like your own art to be hosted in our gallery or featured on our main page, send an email to fanart at staff dot mugglenet dot com. Read More »

This week’s featured fan art: ‘Voldemort’ by Terry

FanArt

This week’s chosen piece of fan art, done by Terry, features Voldemort who appears to be casting the Avada Kedavra curse out of anger. You can see a large detailed image of this art piece right here. The artist pays especially close attention to the dark coloring which matches You-Know-Who’s rage as well as his evil demeanor. His inner character is illustrated by the way Voldemort’s face shows his lust for power. The details on his face and the way his hand is drawn in an upward motion makes Voldemort seem particularly realistic. I can almost hear him screaming his infamous “Nyaaaah!” before casting the deadly curse. The artist has undeniable skill. To see more Potter art done by Terry and other fans, you can visit our Fan Art section here where we’ve collected thousands of other well done pieces. You can also submit your own art to be featured on MuggleNet by sending it via email to Fanart@staff.mugglenet.com Read More »

Featured Fan Art this week: Emma

FanArt

Our featured Fan Art submission this week comes in video format - a speed drawing of Emma Watson by Sylvain. What a great opportunity to see an artist at work! Notice how Sylvain starts by sketching main features of Emma's face, then every so slowly builds the image with layers of shading, until finally highlighting certain features by outlining with dark lines and erasing other portions to create contrast. I must say as well the music really adds something to the experience of watching this video. Great work Sylvain! Read More »

FanArt

Our featured Fan Art submission this week comes courtesy of Jackie. It's a pen drawing of the boy wizard himself, looking rather pensive as he stares off into space.
