Fan Art of the Week: ‘The Series’


This week’s submission comes from Jessica, and it’s a big one. The whole piece, which depicts a great many characters and magical objects from the series, measures 36 X 48 inches and took Jessica over 250 hours to create. You can see the full view of this piece by clicking below. Noah’s Notes: Whoa! This is a mega piece of art. Got to give credit to ‘Potter’ fans out there who go the extra mile when it comes to making their crafts, and Jessica is certainly one of them. She made the creative choice to draw only parts of the work in color, and I think that was a good one – it lets certain objects pop out, so to speak. Great work Jessica! I used a grey lead pencil initially, and then traced over the thin outlines with a very thin shade of my Faber Castell pencils. The scene in Deathly Hallows with Harry and Hermione in Godric's Hollow is a scene I really like, and I couldn't help being presented with the most amazing imagery when I thought about it."
