Welcome to this week’s Role Call! There are A LOT of new projects in the works for our favorite “Harry Potter” alum, including those of David Tennant, David Thewlis, and David Heyman (Wow! That’s a lot of Davids!), and of course, we prepare for Alan Rickman’s last film: “Alice Through the Looking Glass”. Check out what is in the works below!
Sideshow Collectibles has announced that they will be releasing a brand new Hermione Granger figure. The figure will be based on Emma Watson’s Hermione, as see in the penultimate scenes of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”, when the trio heads to the third floor to save the Sorcerer’s Stone from You-Know-Who.
In a move worthy of J.K. Rowling herself, London’s Big Green Bookshop has pledged that all profits from pre-orders of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” will go to local school libraries.
Once again, the “MuggleNet Academia” team of host Keith Hawk, managing editor for MuggleNet, and co-host John Granger, the Hogwarts Professor, brings our fans the latest in academic discussions within the Hogwarts saga. In this lesson, we discuss a wizarding world tsunami of new material and other work from “Harry Potter” author J. K. Rowling and whether or not we should consider these storylines as part of the “Potter” canon.
Last November, MuggleNet staff were thrilled to see a “Harry Potter” theater tribute, “Harry Potter and the Inappropriate Hallowe’en”. The cast of this tribute is back this Saturday, May 14, with the sequel – find out how you can get tickets to this all-new comedy here!
If you’re near Liverpool, UK, get ready! For the next few weeks, the iconic motorbike and sidecar that Harry and Hagrid used to escape Privet Drive in “Deathly Hallows – Part 1” will be visiting the Museum of Liverpool.
Check out a behind-the-scenes clip and interviews with David Thewlis and Emma Watson from their psychological thriller, “Regression”!
This is sweet! As we all know, Emma Watson will be taking on the iconic role of Belle in Disney’s upcoming live-action take on “Beauty and the Beast”. Now, she’s even got the seal of approval from the original Belle!
