The instructions below will assist you in removing a MuggleNet countdown from your Windows desktop. These include countdowns for both books and movies.
Step #1: To remove the countdown in Windows 9x or Windows XP, right-click on your desktop and select Properties from the menu.
Step #2: For Windows 9x, select the Web tab within the Desktop properties window. For Windows XP, select the Customize Desktop button on the Desktop tab, then select the Web tab on the Customize Desktop window.
Step #3: You should now see a list of all Active Desktop items. Select the MuggleNet countdown you wish to remove, and press the Delete button. Approve the deletion of this Active Desktop item. After doing this, simply press the OK button for any open dialog boxes.
The countdown should now be removed from your desktop.
