It has been announced that James and Oliver Phelps will appear at the Supanova Pop Culture Expo when the exhibition visits Perth June 28th-30th. The event will be held at the Claremont Showground. The twins also appeared at the Expo when it visited the Gold Coast and Melbourne earlier this year.

You can read the original article about their visit here and you can find information about tickets for the event here.

MuggleNet will be attending the event and releasing a full report shortly afterwards. We hope to see you there!

In a quiet part of London, just off Tottenham Court Road, the Coningsby Gallery holds an exhibition that would set every Potter fan's heart fluttering.

For two weeks only, the beautiful artworks of the HP films designed by friends of MuggleNet MinaLima, are on display for fans to experience all the tiny details you are unlikely to have ever caught on screen.

Whether it's the actual articles of The Daily Prophet, the individual labels for potion ingredients or the wonderful designs for every item in Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, these prints are a must see - and, if you can afford them, a perfect purchase to adorn your walls!

MuggleNet attended last night's private view - guests of which included actors Helena Bonham Carter and Helen McCrory! - and were able to get a good look at all the magnificent pieces on sale. So if should find yourself in the vicinity, pop inside and see if you too can spot the details that we caught, and more:

*Your zodiac information on every copy of the Daily Prophet,

*The ingredient labels found in Slughorn's potions cabinet,

*The poster for Weasley's Skiving Snackboxes, which will look very familiar to anyone with the Wizard's Collection DVD boxset...

*The beautiful cover of Triwizard Tragedies, 32nd Edition,

and

*MinaLima's own mythical creature logo, wonderfully hidden in each WWW product.

The Graphic Artwork of the Harry Potter Films exhibition is free to view and is running until the 29th June 2013. For more details check out the gallery’s site and to purchase any items online, visit the Printorium.

If you're unable to make it to the gallery, Miraphora and Eduardo will be at LeakyCon in both Portland and London this year. They love meeting the wonderful community of Potter fans so don't be afraid to say hello!

While The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Hollywood, California may not be open to the public for another three years, rumors about the new magical addition to the West Coast park have already started to circulate around the web.

Here are some of the rumors in brief collected by BehindTheThrills.com - (the site wishes we take them all with a grain of salt!):

  • The entire park will be smaller in comparison to Florida
  • The Village of Hogsmeade will be stripped back with fewer shops
  • No Three Broomsticks restaurant, or Dragon Challenge
  • The Flight of the Hippogriff ride will be recreated and expanded, perhaps including a walkthrough of Hagrid's Hut

Obviously the park in Hollywood will include many of the staple shops a Harry Potter fan would need and expect of any reasonable replication of Hogsmeade - Honeydukes and Zonko's to name a few - but why get rid of The Three Broomsticks? These are still just rumors, but maybe Universal is experiencing some space issues as they plan out the layout of the park.

Here's where the rumors get juicy, though - among some of these potential worrisome projections emerges a few really interesting nuggets from the article:

"Hogwarts Castle is where things get really interesting. Hollywood will have a Forbidden Journey in their version of Hogwarts, just like Orlando. However, unlike Florida, the California version will be HUGE... the reasoning is because there will be more in the castle than just a ride and a gift shop. According to rumors, they will also feature a huge replica of the Great Hall."

And, get this, the reason why Hollywood might not need a Three Broomsticks restaurant? Rumor has it that guests will be able to eat in the Great Hall!

"The Great Hall will be a dining experience that will be completely themed, and will have all manners of activities happening. The ceiling will change, the portraits will interact with guests, and there will even be Dumbledore periodically making announcements..."

Can you imagine it? Eating in the Great Hall while none other than Dumbledore watches you devour great big turkey legs! (BehindTheThrills actually suggests the menu will be even more diverse than the one at The Three Broomsticks in Florida, expanding into more international cuisine).

If all that wasn't enough, there are rumors that guests will be able to experience a class inside the castle - specifically a Defense Against The Dark Arts class - where Boggarts, Cornish Pixies, and even Death Eaters will appear, and will have to be fought off.

Again - these are all just rumors - but we will keep you updated as they are changed, denied, or confirmed.

If you are wondering how Superman can be related to Immigration reform and the Harry Potter Alliance, then look no further than right here as the latest campaign has been recently launched by the HPA and your participation is requested.

Born on Krypton, he came to this country with the promise of Hope - the symbol he bears on his chest. Many of our families also have a history of immigration. We share Superman’s hope and we continue his fight for truth, justice and the American Way.

The HPA's Imagine Better Network (who brought you "Hunger Is Not A Game") has partnered with Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and undocumented American Jose Antonio Vargas and Define American on a Man of Steel campaign called "Superman Is An Immigrant."

Wil Wheaton and John Green have both publicly supported the campaign as well as a variety of other media outlets. You can join the campaign by simply doing this:

  • Take a picture of yourself holding a piece of paper with your family's immigration story written on it, along with the Superman logo. End your story with "I am the American Way.".

It is all happening right here. So get involved with the Harry Potter Alliance and join your local chapter today. "The Weapon we have is Love!"

The comedy, This is the End, came out just days ago on June 12 and features Emma Watson. However, she wasn't the first Potter star to be approached about a role in the film. Originally, writer-director Evan Goldberg went to Daniel Radcliffe two years earlier.

Daniel declined the offer because he wasn't fond of the script. This decline pushed Goldberg to change it up to make it better. Goldberg stated,

[Daniel] very respectfully explained that the material was not quite good enough, and he was right. It was a bad early version. He taught us a lesson. We learned something from him that day.

What he seems to be saying is that without Daniel's insight, the film might have turned out rather poorly. But they were able to get Emma Watson instead, so it was a win-win situation on the film's part.

Have you seen This is the End? How might it have been different if Dan were in it instead? Discuss below!

Everyone knows the stars and production staff from the Harry Potter films are some of the best the industry, and it seems that many of them have been up to a lot lately!

Gary Oldman, who portrayed Sirius Black in the Harry Potter films, is preparing to direct a film he wrote called Flying Horse, which is a biopic about Eadweard Muybridge, a man who played a key role in the development of motion pictures. What's more, Oldman is eyeing Potter co-star Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort) to play the title character! Oldman would also have a role in the film, as Muybridge's attorney. Read more about the film here.

Meanwhile another Marauder, David Thewlis (Remus Lupin), has joined the cast of Eliza Graves, a film that will be directed by Brad Anderson. The film is based on "The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether" by Edgar Allen Poe. It tells the story of a young doctor working at a mental institution where he falls in love with one of his patients. Kate Beckinsale, Jim Sturgess, Michael Caine, and Ben Kingsley are also cast in the film. Read the original article here.

Finally, Potter director David Yates has replaced Ang Lee as director for the pilot of the new series Tyrant, which is a political drama about an American family in an unstable Middle Eastern country. Tyrant is the creation of Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff, who also created the hit television sereis Homeland. The project has been earmarked for FX. Read the original article here.
