F.A.E.Q.Frequently Asked Editorial Questions* denotes a recent addition.
How do I submit an editorial? How do I submit an editorial? There are two ways in which to do this.1) Using the feedback system, type or paste your editorial into the text box and send to Editorials. 2) If you prefer to send your editorial directly through e-mail, or as an attachment (Word documents preferred), send it to editorials at staff dot mugglenet dot com. Can I be a columnist? We usually choose columnists from reliable authors who've consistently shown us they can write thought-provoking editorials. In other words, if you're interested in writing a regular column for us, don't ask us -- show us. If you have ideas you'd like to share, write them up and send us editorials to post. Whether or not you're tapped to be a columnist, you're getting your ideas out there. How long will it take for my editorial to be posted? There is no set time limit. We've posted editorials same day, next day, and even four months later. It depends on so many factors, including the amount of editorials we receive daily. Will you let me know you've received my editorial?Sorry! We receive too many editorials to be able to do this for everyone. Unless you receive an error message, however, be assured that we've received your e-mail.Will you tell me why you decided not to post my editorial?Again, sorry! Too many editorials to be able to do this for everyone, and frankly, we don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. If it's constructive criticism you're after, contact one of the editors individually and we'll help you as we can. If you feel that your editorial is worthy to be posted on MuggleNet, and it still hasn't been posted six months later, feel free to submit again. Funny things can happen. Why aren't there any editorials about a particular same-sex pairing in Madam Puddifoot's?If your preferred same-sex ship is not included, it's because we haven't received any submissions that match our requirements (well-written, thought-provoking, original, etc.).Remember, shipping articles do not have to be about whether a particular pairing will happen in J.K. Rowling's series. You can approach ships from any literary angle, including their context in fan fiction, what it's like to be a fan of a particular ship, etc. Be creative! While CoS Forums will not allow discussion threads for any editorial on same-sex pairings in accordance with that site's rules, this will not prevent us from posting them in the Madam Puddifoot's section. Can I use one or more of the editorials on my web site?Sure. But you must give credit to the author and provide a link to the original editorial on MuggleNet.English isn't my primary language. Can I still submit an editorial?Sorry, please only submit works if you speak English fluently.
