Who is the HBP?

An original editorial by JJ

First of all, I am most likely entirely wrong, but this is my theory on who the Half Blood Prince will be.

With the exception of Sirius in the Prisoner of Azkaban, the title of each book has had no references to it in an other Harry Potter books preceding it. This leads me to believe that the Half Blood Prince will most likely turn out to be someone who has not yet been intorduced to Harry Potter world. But what if the HBP is someone who hasn't even been born yet? What if he is the future child of what I believe to be the inevitable couple of Ron and Hermione.

After going through the books yet again, I have noticed that the only references to any sort of royalty that I could find were pertaining to Ron. More obviously with the legendary song developed by Draco Malfoy and improved by all of Gryffindor (Weasley is our king), but more importantly, in one of Harry's dreams.

"Harry had a trouble night's sleep. His parents wove in and out of his dreams, never speaking; Mrs. Weasley sobbed over Kreacher's dead body watched by Ron and Hermione, who were wearing crowns, and yet again Harry found himself walking down a corridor ending in a locked door." - Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix chapter 10

This is highly significant because both Ron and Hermione are wearing the crowns, which suggests a future they share together as either literal or symbolic king and queen. If they were to have a child, then this boy would come to be known as a prince.

I know what many of you are thinking... The child wouldn't be half blood if a witch and a wizard were his parents. But that's not true. Harry Potter himself is a half blood, said so by Dumbledore, even though his parents were both magical. It seems that in the Potter world, a Muggle born mother and a pure blood father is enough to constitute the child as a half blood.

I know that Hermione and Ron would most likely not have a child during the Harry Potter series, but what if the child were to come from the future. We already know that time travel plays an intricate role in the HP series, and that it is even so important as to have an entire section devoted to it in the Department of Mysteries. It could very well happen that Half Blood Prince Weasley travels back in time to aid Harry in his sixth adventure at Hogwarts.

While I am very excited about having finally come up with my own theory, I am open to criticism. If anyone has anything to disprove or help prove this, feel free to write an editorial in response. I would be glad to hear what you have to say. Have a lovely day!
