Dare you return to Hogwarts?

Be Harry Potter and unlock the mystery at the heart of the Chamber of Secrets. With dire warnings from strange quarters and dark schemes afoot, Harry’s second adventure will be every bit as magical – and dangerous – as his first. But this time the spells are more potent, the foes are more fearsome, and Harry’s friends are more important than ever.

The Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets video game was released by Electronic Arts on November 15, 2002. It was developed by Eurocom for the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube systems. It was also released for PC/Mac, Game Boy Advance, and Game Boy Color.

Trivia
  • In the PC/Mac game for Sorcerer's Stone, there is a background character named Marilyn who collects weird objects and is a Hufflepuff. In Chamber of Secrets, an extra, Arthur, is meant to be her brother with the same habits.
  • The location where Ron states the Ford Anglia is parked (Charing Cross Road) is a real London street and the location of the Leaky Cauldron.
  • Peeves is in the games though not in the films.
  • In the PC/Mac version, there is a secret level called "Gryffindor Challenge" that is only accessible with debug mode.
  • Hufflepuffs wear purple in the game instead of yellow.
  • If you get caught by a prefect in a banned area when Polyjuice Potion has you in Gregory Goyle mode, points will be lost from Slytherin, not Gryffindor.
  • In PC/Mac version, even if Slytherin has the most points at the end of the year, they would be disqualified.
  • In the GBA version, the Marauder's Map is used even though it's not introduced until Prisoner of Azkaban in the series.
  • The game has an alternate ending where if you die while fighting the Basilisk, Riddle speaks in Voldemort's voice: "I have returned. The world will be purged of all Mudbloods and non-magical people. I, Lord Voldemort , will conquer all!"
  • Hermione is present during the House Cup ceremony even though she was attacked by the Basilisk.
  • The US version of the game is narrated by Jim Dale, who also narrated the US editions of the Harry Potter audiobooks, while the UK version of the game is narrated by Stephen Fry, who also narrated the UK editions of the Harry Potter audiobooks.
