Classrooms

Most subjects are taught in specific classrooms at Hogwarts, although others are held in their own locations outside the building. The only classroom whose location cannot be traced is Transfiguration. The others, despite the tendency of Hogwarts to re-arrange itself regularly, have permanent locations which are as follows:

Dungeons: Potions
Ground Floor: Divination (when taught by Firenze)
First Floor: Defence Against the Dark Arts; History of Magic; Muggle Studies
Third Floor: Charms
Seventh Floor: Divination (when taught by Professor Trelawney)
Astronomy Tower: Astronomy
Grounds: Care of Magical Creatures
Herbology: (taught in the greenhouses behind the school)
