positions: 2) We're looking for someone who can make games using Flash (or another programming language) to add to the richness of MuggleNet Interactive. Project Legilimensia positions: 1) Builders- Builders create the world of the MUD through writing and world building. Advanced writing skills are required. Think of 3 places that would occur in Harry's world and have yet to be described. Write these rooms/areas in 8-12 sentences max, in the 3rd person, and with as much detail as possible. If you wish to describe the objects in your rooms in greater detail, type: Extended Description, then more exposition on the objects. Applicants must also be friendly, willing to devote reasonable amounts of time to the project, and ready to work with deadlines. 2) Quest Design/World Building- No game is complete without a working set of quests. Individuals applying for this position should be ready to work with the builders and to present new and unique quest designs on a weekly basis and to assist in designing the functions in the MUD. Submit 2 different example quests or designs you would want implemented on the MUD, fleshed out with detail, presented with all of the tasks necessary to complete the quest, the premise and background, and the reward for the quest. World builders should also be able to design things such as example book excerpts for the Hogwarts Library, etc. A resume with your quest design or MUDding experience, if applicable, is always appreciated. 3) Coders- We require experience in C programming on UNIX/Linux. Experience in UNIX/Linux network programming, MUD programming in the areas of large systems, AI, informational, user interface and/or general programming is a definite plus. Support tools in use are git, cogito and cvs. It is strongly suggested that the programmer be able to provide their own environment and be able to install tools for MUD development. 4) Writing Services Team- In addition to producing a top-notch gaming experience, we're also hoping to flesh out some of the literary work mentioned throughout the series. We're looking for writers to help us write the historical and informational books and periodicals that will help bring the adventure to life. No coding experience is necessary, just a clear understanding of the English language, and a strong desire to write a lot about the Wizarding World. Please include a brief writing sample (two or three paragraphs), a description of your writing experience/education (if any), and what type of books or periodicals you'd like to write for.
