Short biography: Robert Hardy is one of Britain's most critically-acclaimed actors, although his films have never been recognized by Hollywood. His acting roles have therefore been restricted to exclusively British productions, but his efforts were justly acknowledged when he was awarded the CBE for his contributions to acting. Hardy's versatility as an actor can be seen in his impressive resume, including films such as Winston Churchill: The Wilderness Years (1981) and Frankenstein (1994). Today, he plays the stubborn and scatter-brained Minister of Magic in the Harry Potter films.
