What happened? Well, apparently, Harry is definetly not that innocent eleven year old new to the wizarding world. I was dissapointed with this movie greatly. It seemed as though the people who made this movie didnt want to deal with the extra people who were not as big as Harry himself, but they still had an important role. Ginny, Hermione, and Ron for instance. If you're in for a harsh reveiw, you chose the right one.
Ginny is supposed to have two boyfriends this year( who both have been cut from the movie entirely), and Ginny is supposed to have shown a friendship with Harry at the Grimmauld PLace, and a given up crush. Ginny is barely in the movie at all.
Now, Hermione and Ron. Again, WHAT HAPPENED?? They are supposed to help harry, comfort him, be his best friends. all they really do is become abodoned by Mr. Grumpy, I'm so mad at Voldermort Potter. Plus, at the Grimmauld place. There is supposed to be a big fight. Harry is supposedly yelling, but really he is saying in a sternbut soft voice," I havent gotten a scrap of paper all summer. You could have mailed me" and there it is.
And Dobby, the strange little house elf. Who is to find the room of requirement. Replaced by neville. Let's see what else. The big fight at the ministry? Its not really fighting. The teens just had some lucky stun shots and ran away..
Pratically most of the movie harry doesnt have a scar. What did he do, get a surgery?
The kiss with cho. Katie Lueng herself even said that the kiss is " not a particularly sexy or exciting kiss" but a " clumsy, very sweet kiss". Um, doesnt look like it. They,um, got feisty, didnt they?Speaking of Cho and Harry, in the book they go on a date, at Madame Pudifoots shop, Cho gets jealous becuase Harry is meeting Hermione halfway into their date. So they break up. They get back together after Harry gets an interveiw about Cedric about voldermorts return that is published in the Quibbler. They break up AGAIN because of Chos friend Marietta. You see? They are described as a couple in the book, but in the movie, they are just two people who just happened to have their first kiss together. I mean their first make out.
For those people who wanted hp to get darker, they got their wish. For each movie, its supposed to get a little darker every one. They made this movie TOO dark. TOO evil. TOO sad potter.
The movie is too short. The longest book in the series is the shortest movie in the series so far. The moments that were supposed to be long, meaningful, like when harry was on the ground after voldermort had left the ministry, were short and abrupt. I would rather have a long detailed movie than a short abrupt one.
What did i like? Hmmm, well, i thought they caught Umbridge perfectly. Evil. Sinisterly sweet. Annoying and un fair. Even her clothes. Everyone did not think Tonks would be a 4o year old woman with pink heavilly gelled hair. Tonks, in my vision, was supposedly in her 20s, 30s maybe, and her hair was like , how do i say this, naturally pink.
There are a lot of things i disaprove about this movie, But overall, i think i'm saying i prefer the book. At least in this case. All the other movies were better done.
