Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Filming Information

Current Filming Status: (July 2010) Filming for the entire franchise is now complete. Many actors said the last days on set were very sad, and Tom, Dan, Emma, and Rupert all have admitted that they cried a bit. At this point the film is being edited and receiving special effect treatment.

Major scenes confirmed: the Seven Potters chase, the Wedding, Gringotts, Shell Cottage, Battle of Hogwarts

At least one new scene: David Yates recently revealed that his favorite scene from Deathly Hallows is one where Harry and Hermione share a dance together while exchanging information. He describes it as a "very tender and very nice" - it is a scene that isn't in the book.

Harry will be naked: David Yates has confirmed that Harry will be naked for two pivotal scenes in the film. He will first be naked for a scene where Ron sees a series of images between which are Harry and Hermione kissing and embracing. David says the scene is very sexy and intriguing.

Harry's second naked appearance will be in the Kings Cross scene where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore.

The Part 1/Part 2 split: Warner Brothers had hoped to keep the exact split between Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2 under wraps, but actor Joshua Herman (Goyle) revealed at a fan convention that the split was planned to be made right after the trio are captured by the Snatchers and right before they are taken to Malfoy Manor. Please note that Warner Brothers has made it clear that they may change where the split occurs, so this information may change.

Background Info: On March 12th, 2008 it was announced that Deathly Hallows would be a two-part film. Since then, filming has been planned to start in February 2009. Test-shooting began on January 26th, 2009 at Leavesden Studios. Both parts of Deathly Hallows will be shot back-to-back, with Part 1 being released November 2010 and Part 2 in July 2011.

January 26th marked the first day of test shooting for Deathly Hallows, as revealed by Emma Watson on her official site. Unfortunately, just days later it was reported that a stunt double for Dan Radcliffe was seriously injured while testing an explosion scene.
