The Rupert GRINT Birthday Project
(We know...worst acronym ever.)

Rupert Grint's birthday is drawing nearer... That's right, on August 24th he's turning the BIG 1-6! So for all you anxious well wishers and giddy Rupert fans, MuggleNet will be organizing a birthday scrapbook consisting of handmade pages sent in by devoted fans like you!

Rules:

  • NO emailed submissions will be accepted. Only submissions sent via snail mail and received by the deadline will be accepted. SORRY!
  • All submissions should be standard computer paper size (8 1/2 by 11 inches).
  • All submissions must be appropriate. No suggestive language, marriage proposals, etc. After all, he's only turning sixteen. Let's not scare him too much!
  • Do NOT attach any perishable items to your submission. This is, after all, being sent overseas and it does get quite hot in August.

THE DEADLINE FOR THIS SCRAPBOOK IS JULY 31st

Now that the basic concept has been explained, we'll discuss how you can participate. As mentioned above, submissions are only being accepted through SNAIL MAIL. This isn't because we don't want to print out e-mails, it's because we want to focus on having real entries sent in rather than those that are just printed out. Plus, if we accept email submissions we'll never be able to include them all.

Here are just a few of the things that will be accepted:

  • Letters (either hand-written, or typed)
  • Art (this covers a broad area - paintings, drawings, collages, etc.)
  • Postcards
  • Cards (they can be store-bought, but hand-made ones mean that much more!)
  • Stories
  • Poems
We would also like for every person who sends in a submission to include an AUTOGRAPHED PICTURE OF THEMSELVES. Rupert graciously gives out innumerable autographs for his fans, so we thought we'd show our appreciation with autographed pictures from you guys. You don't have to do this, but it would be nice.

These are just a few ideas to get you started. If it fits on a standard sized sheet of paper and is appropriate - feel free to send it in. Be creative! Make him laugh! Please keep in mind that submissions from outside of the United States (overseas) will probably take at least one week (7 business days) to be received. Therefore, it would be wise to plan ahead so that you can be assured it reaches us before the deadline.

ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY JULY 31st - NOTHING WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE.

So you've finished your entry and you're ready to send it in? Great! Please send your submissions here:

If there is anything you are unsure of anything or have any comments you would like to add directly regarding the creation of this book, please send an e-mail to quidditchxchick at yahoo dot com with SCRAPBOOK QUESTION(S) as the title. Or, you can reach K'lyssa on AIM at MNBdayProject. Don't be alarmed if your e-mails aren't responded to immediately, she'll get to each one as soon as she can.

I think we'd better check with Puddlemere United whether Oliver Wood's been killed during a training session, because she [Angelina] seems to be channeling his spirit.
