THAAAAT's RIIIIGHT, MuggleCast listeners! "International Wear Your MuggleCast Tee-Shirt Day" is returning, for its third year strong! The date is June 2nd, and during that time we ask that you support the show by showing your MuggleCast pride with the world at large, going out in public and spreading the word, simply by wearing a tee shirt! Not only that, but just like previous years we ask that you photograph yourself and/or your friends and send it in to us!

As you all know, the various MuggleCast co-hosts share between themselves a deep love and affection for the Harry Potter book series, but also a wide array of other artistic and creative interests! That's why we want to see, this year, just how creative and artistic you can get in displaying your MC tee! ADDITIONALLY, we are VERY aware that only a limited amount of people were able to purchase MuggleCast tee shirts at all in the first place. That is why this year we're emphasizing more than ever that if you go to an arts & crafts store or take a blank tee shirt and some acrylic paint, you can make your OWN MuggleCast tee!

SO. International Wear Your MuggleCast Tee-Shirt Day is ONE MONTH AWAY. WHY the early notice? Because we wanted to excite everyone! We wanted to give good notice to spawn some really creative ideas in those brilliant minds of yours! This year, MuggleCast Teeshirts will take over the world!!!!!!

We hope that you're as excited as we are! Remember to not take the pictures until ON the actual day, but you're allowed to take as much time as you need to prepare! OH, and if you're worried about being "creative," don't fret. Any picture of yourself in your shirt will do, because we're looking to make a MONTAGE of sorts when all is said and done. I have been getting a lot of e-mails lately asking just where all the transcripts are for about the last 10 or so episodes. Well, it's nobody's fault but my own as I have fallen behind getting them up.

So what we're going to do is release one transcript every night for the next week or so to get things back to where they should be. That starts tomorrow with Episode 130. I appreciate the patience and the hard work that all the transcribers and editors put forth in every episode.

The Times, a very big newspaper in the United Kingdom, has named MuggleCast its Podcast of the Week! Several of you wrote in to tell us the news. In their report, they call us MuggleNet, but that's okay, cause they still talk about Micah being creepy:

Two reasons [for the award]: first, because this site dedicated to all things Potter is compiled by young people. And secondly, because it’s nice to find that much youthful energy being channelled into something fundamentally harmless, even if one must admit to a certain frisson at hearing one of them wondering whether recent publicity pictures of Emma Watson for her TV film Ballet Shoes would show her wearing naught but the shoes. “You’re being immature,” commented another caster. No he wasn’t, he was being creepy. This is Hermione Granger we’re talking about.

* Create your own MC segment to be ran on our show
* Plan your segment, gather your content, assign hosts, record and edit the show
* Judging will be based on creativity of topic, presentation, and host personalities

Rules:
* Segment must be no longer than 7 minutes in length
* Topic must relate to the Harry Potter books, movies, fan culture, and/or anything else related
* Segment must be turned in no later than April 20th, 11:59 PM EST
* Winner will be announced and their segment will be aired on April 27th
* Must be sent in MP3 format, high quality

After recording Episode 140 yesterday with two chapters in our Chapter by Chapter segment, we've decided to only do one chapter a week from here on out.

Doing two chapters per episode in a few of our shows have made them very long and cut time for other fun segments that we like to do.

This means that MuggleCast will be running weekly until Episode 152 at the very earliest, and puts us well into late June or early July. We know none of you will be complaining about this, and we're in no rush to halt weekly episodes with how well the shows have been going.

Amazon has this thing called unSpun. Basically, we create a poll question and then listeners come up with their own answers.

I created one called "Discussion for MuggleCast" that I wanna try out. If you have any idea for a main discussion, go here, and insert it. Then, if listeners like it, they can vote for that idea too. If they don't like, they can come up with their own idea.

See how this could have big potential? Let's try it out. Get over there and start coming up with ideas! This could possibly become a really cool way for fans to choose what we discuss on the show. Keep in mind that it could be a main discussion, a news story, WHATEVER you want!
