Happy 3 year anniversary of MuggleCast!

Three years ago today, Ben, Kevin and I released the very first episode of the very first Harry Potter podcast.
Today is a day to recognize the three years of podcasting and to... well, listen to MuggleCast (Episode 156 will be released later today).
I'm extremely proud of the team that has brought MuggleCast to where it is today, and the show would NOT be what it is and what it has been if it wasn't for the hard work and dedication of Ben, Kevin, Jamie, Laura, Eric, Micah, Mikey, Matt, and Elysa. And also the Transcript team, who make the show available to thousands of people who can't listen to us. Thanks, team!
Even though NEXT WEEK (yes we're delaying it again) will be our final weekly episode, I promise there will never be a day that the show officially ends. You, the listener, have been an extremely crucial part of this podcast and we know that you don't want the show to ever come to an end. Plus, we still have a ton of fun doing it :)

Preparing for Episode 156

We have decided that MuggleCast Episode 156 will be our final weekly show. We hope to have this episode released three years to the day we released Episode 1... back on August 7th, 2005.
This is NOT the much-feared "end" of the show by ANY means. After Episode 156, we will be releasing episodes whenever we feel that we can have QUALITY discussions for 60 - 90 minutes of time.
My guess is that we'll still be releasing at LEAST one new episode per month. I promise we'll strive to produce as many shows as possible because we love producing MuggleCast more than ever.
Anyway, what we need from our loyal listeners right now are your thoughts on the show as a whole. Use the MuggleCast hotline to give us a call and tell us what the show has done for you, your friends, or anyone else. We'll be playing some of your calls during Episode 156. Thanks everyone!

Hi everybody! The Sydney video footage is now online! There were some complications (of course, there *always* ARE!) at first, but I was able to get a copy to go through on Google Video. The entire 100min production is now LIVE. One year ago today...

As I reported on MuggleNet, its been one year since the release of Deathly Hallows. The MuggleCasters had a TON of fun that evening and the following day. On Deathly Hallows eve, we hosted a live podcast from the United Kingdom's largest book store right in the heart of London. The following day, right after we all finished reading, we recorded an episode of MuggleCast that was streamed to hundreds of people listening online. That episode went on to be our most-downloaded episode ever, with over 110,000 unique downloads. You can watch video of us recording this episode right here via Ustream. Here's to the first anniversary of Deathly Hallows, with many more memories to come!
The MuggleCasters meet Jim Dale at Portus!

It's been a really fun few days here at Portus, and the MuggleCasters had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Dale this morning! I'm not in this picture, but Micah and I took one earlier in the day with him at a press conference that we'll have online in a couple days. Also, our live podcast went off without a hitch last night. Unfortunately, we're not going to have the recording itself until Tuesday because the mixer it was recorded on need a certain cable and computer to get off. You'll listen to it soon, and we promise it's a doozy! Lastly, we had an awesome MuggleCast meet up just a couple of hours ago in the Portus Common Room. Here's a picture from our cozy little warm up. It was a lot of fun... thanks to everyone who attended!
