(p.s. applicable is right)

I wanted to vote but the registration didn't work for me. Oh well, I hope everyone else gets through, Go HP!
posted by: HPfan01/02

I didn't vote for Harry Potter. I'm a book HP fan, and I have no support for the movies. The Chronicles of Narnia were by far better.
posted by: Naria01/02

Cool! I like that website im going there right now
posted by: The Dudet01/02

A bit of constructive criticism: your headline should read "IMDb", not "IMBd". The Internet Movie Basedata? :)

GOF rocks! I'll vote!
posted by: Patri01/02

It's not doing so well probably because it was NOT the best movie of 2005. Several movies were far better. War of the Worlds was absolutely incredible.

You guys shouldn't be voting on it just because it's Harry Potter. Vote on it if you truly believe it was the best. No one likes rigged polls by a bunch of crazed fans. And then everyone sits around wondering why nobody takes the Harry Potter series seriously.

Gee, I do wonder...

Go to vote for MuggleCast on Podcast Alley everyone!!
We all love the Cast, why not show them we do?!
posted by: Kate01/02

Not that I'm not a devout fan of all things HP, but I don't really think it was the best movie by any means. I mean we're talking about a couple of relatively inexperienced, expressionless child actors and a story that has to move along at a lightning fast pace to cover everything so that fans won't hate it.

It isn't the best movie. Please go out and open your eyes to the world of PROFESSIONAL cinema. There is a whole universe out there that some of these blind HP-crazed people can't see.
posted by: dogstar01/02

It was the best movie for me and I voted for it. I also voted for my favourite actor (David Tennant) and Wallace and Gromit for best animated (to show you that I am not a 'blind HP-crazed' person . . . so please don't generalise. I am not a crazed HP fan-girl and yet HP GOF is my favourite film. :) I hate it when people generalise. So respect other people's views and see that for some people (like me) GOF is the best film. We must be kind to each other on these comment boards or chaos will ensue. :)
posted by: Queenlover01/02

Well dogstar, i think you are right but maybe you could at least put harry potter on ONE of the MANY questions they ask!
posted by: Ankita01/02

I voted but not for Gof.. :P I love HP for the books not the movies
posted by: Steph01/02

I put GOF on best Family film and Most entertaining film, but it's definitely not "Best Picture" material.

It might be your favorite, but that doesn't make it a good film from an impartial viewpoint.
posted by: dogstar01/02

i voted for another movie
i hate the harry potter movies!!

Warner Bros are DEATHEATERS!!!

I have voted! Try and vote for Mike Newell best Director! and put HP under the most catagories! That's what i've done! Come on HP fans, do it for the Fantastic film!!
posted by: Dawn01/02

I know, dogstar, And I respect your opinion. I think the books are far better than the films (being a much bigger fan of books than films anyway) but I was just saying that some people think it's good, some think it's bad. So, you should critisize people's views. That's all I'm saying. I was only trying to make peace. :)
posted by: Queenlover-Peace man01/02

i voted for hp in all the relavent ballots.
posted by: nazquiter01/02

guys the movie wasnt that good

king kong was way better
posted by: kayla01/02

i agree that while hp was pretty good, it's not the best of the year so i'm putting it under some different catagory.
posted by: o.O01/02

That should be shouldn't. Sorry.
posted by: Queenlover-Peace man01/02

Wow, Emma Watson got nominated for worst supporting actress 2005...
posted by: o_O01/02

i'm asking the people who are voting for hp: please vote just once! if you want hp to win, you want it to win fairly don't you? let's not turn this into another poll where hp only wins because thousands of crazed fans vote over and over again for it.

don't get me wrong: go ahead and vote for it because it was still a pretty good movie, but remember that there were also a lot of other good movies out there that deserve credit =)
posted by: dobedo01/02

Wow, its not doing good. Brokeback Mountain is winning in almost every category. King Kong's also up near the top. EVERYONE VOTE!!!
posted by: Man01/02

Yeah, that is a good point. At least make it fair. only cast your ballot once.
posted by: Dawn01/02

yay!!! go steph and amy!!
posted by: harryjamespotter01/02

Okay, this is getting ridiculous, Harry Potter is up in almost every category, even Best Documentary. Lets make these votes fair and realistic, Because, there were other great movies this year too.:)
posted by: Amy01/02

I only voted once ^.^ yeah it's not fair for all the other great films out there. They do deserve a chance, I must say.
People keep saying King Kong is completely and utterly FABBY. So should I go and see it?
posted by: Queenlover01/02

Eh, even though Narnia was a better movie, I wish that I could vote, but my computer won't let me.

No, not King Kong! Please! GoF was still a million times better than King Kong!

GoF wasn't even that good! King Kong all the way!!!
posted by: ThePhoenixLament01/02

Yikes! Daniel Radcliffe is LAST for best actor!!!!!!!!!!
posted by: David01/02

the SFX in king kong were amazing but i didnt care too much for the second half of the movie.
posted by: peter griffin-door01/02

um . . . why is GOF in the Best Animated and Best Documentary??
if you're going to vote for GOF, vote for it in the proper category!! Otherwise, it's stupid. Can you imagine if GOF won the Best Animated and they announced,
'and the winner of the Best Animated Film is . . . Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire!'
That would be silly. :P
posted by: Queenlover01/02

aww come on guys put some spirit into it! GOF rocked awesome
posted by: thoroughbredracinglover01/02

i voted GOF for every single category haha.

they didnt choose JKR for TIME person of the year, and she was clearly winning on the online poll. These polls are just for show, they pick the winners in the end.
posted by: dee01/02

yay, naomi watts is first for best actress, and peter jackson for best director, and king kong is second! i just love that movie. i also love harry potter, of course, but i just really don't think GoF deserves the number 1 spot. it's nothing compared to the other movies.
posted by: katherine01/02

i agree with Queenlover. (it would be funny if it won the best animation though!).
posted by: pigwidgeon01/02

Whoo! Potter power! Goblet is winning ;)
posted by: Elizabeth01/02

Wow. What a way to skew the results.

I noticed GoF was in first for Best Picture and thought "How on earth could that be?" Then I realized some fansite must have posted it and sure enough, come on here and voila.
posted by: Jessica01/02

gof wasnt THAT good. i mean, it was entertaining, but compared to the movies with professionals like naomi watts and george clooney? come on, guys. vote for gof , but give those other movies a look too.
i think adrien brody should have been on the list for best supporting actor. he was amazing in king kong.
posted by: lindsey01/02

I voted for Brokeback Mountain for Best Picture.
Gof doesn't deserve it. And I agree with Jessica.

Best Documentary? Best Animated Feature?

I'm a regular IMDb user going what the hell is wrong with you fools?
posted by: tyler01/02

why is Rupert Grint under supporting Actor!!!!

Rupter my love, you deserve more than Dan.
posted by: Ally01/02

Maybe Goblet of Fire isn't doing so well in their poll because it pales in comparison to many other movies. :P

I mean, "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", "Batman Begins", and even "Star Wars, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" were better than any of the Harry Potter movies.
posted by: OneofThem01/02

I totally agree with katherine, lindsey, Jessica and Pink Dress Hater. GoF doesn't deserve it. It became number one AFTER mugglenet posted it. but forget about the movies. If Mike Newell beats Peter Jackson, and Emma Watson beats Naomi Watts, I'll throw something.
posted by: ThePhoenixLament01/02

Quote 'Pink Dress Hater': "...and spend so many money on a single dragon scene that they weren't able to effort red contacts for Fiennes as Voldemort."

how do you know that o_O ? is that true ? i never heard of it before that it was the dragon scenes fault that voldy has no red eyes...
posted by: hicup smelly01/02

i agree with dogtown and amy86. the books are def as good as books get, while the movies arent.(not that didnt watch gof a mill. times i mean it IS still hp)
posted by: amalia01/02

This is downright embarrassing. Dan for Best Actor? Emma for Best Actress? Rupert for Best Supporting Actor?

*hides head in shame*
posted by: Scrubb01/02

darn it, it is again cropping up on hpana that Radcliffe might take the role in equus, such a horrible role, what´s wrong with him?????
posted by: Emelia01/02

Thats horrible that they have "Worst movie" "awards" That must make them feel so bad. Except Dukes of Hazard deserves it. That was bad. But War of the Worlds wasn't. :-/
pinkdresshater: calm down. It's hard to be a director. While I don't think GoF was brilliant, I think Newell did a pretty good job.
posted by: me01/02

oh please. we all have the right to vote anything we want, they do let you CHOOSE what to fill in.

besides, rupert emma and dan ARE actors, they can be nominated for best and supporting actor/actresses, so stop complaining about it.
posted by: dee01/02

...As a matter of fact, in my above post, I listed every movie that I've seen this year. That's right, Goblet of Fire was my LEAST favorite film of the year (that I've seen). :o :P
posted by: OneofThem01/02

thephoenixlament, emma watson shouldn't even be on there. neither should daniel radcliffe or any of the trio, for that matter.
i agree with lindsey that adrien brody did a good job in king kong
posted by: sara01/02

What a crap, of course it was NOT due the dragon scene that they didn't had the money anymore to give LV his red eyes (contacts are not that expensive)! They just forgot about it (even if I wonder how you can forget about THAT, though !). I voted for GoF in the best picture category. That's enough IMHO.
posted by: Mandy Moore01/02

sorry GoF, I'm a Pete Jackson fan...

FYI: There's no reason EW, RG, and DR shouldn't be on the list. They were the stars in one of the biggest films of the year. Of course they are going to be nominees. That doesn't mean they're going to win. And in my opinion, non of them did BAD jobs.

I didn't got that either, but there were rumors that they couldn't effort more CG creatures like Winky and Dobby cause the dragon was so expensive. Just think of the maze !
posted by: shiki01/02

GOF stank. It didn't stick to the book at all. It was the worst of the series. It's quite ironic how it grossed so much money.
posted by: Meriadoc Brandybuck01/02

Edward88Italy-i agree. i mean, i did vote for harry potter, but i also voted for brokeback mountain. which rocked so hard.
i don't think that dan, rupert or emma should be best actor/actress because of the other movie this year, there have been much better actors. i mean, they're kids. they might be great, but there are actors that have so much more experience (aka ralph finnes in the constant gardener). i mean, if there was a best KID actor, i'm sure they'd win. (actually, i liked the beaudelairs in a series of unfortunate events).
ANYWAY, vote for whatever you want. i voted for harry potter for best family film.
posted by: maia01/02

i voted for DAKOTA FANNING for BEST SUPPORTING actress CUZ SHE EFFIN DESERVES IT!!!!
posted by: amalia01/02

its amazing how many people were SO excited for the movie before it came out compared to now. There are many negative comments about gof and the other hp movies after it came out. personally, i like the movies a lot.
posted by: tonks01/02

Everyone needs to calm down a bit. It's just peoples opinions, guys, don't be all offended by them. Like, not everybody loves DR and EW and RG, and not everyone loves Peter Jackson. Personally, I found GoF disappointing, but I liked King Kong.
posted by: <3MyChemicalRomance<301/02

Seems a bit silly just voting for Harry Potter as its Harry Potter. I love HP but it shouldn't be number 1. It means nothing it being number 1 anyway now.
posted by: Zoe01/02

no way. i loved that movie. must vote

WHY oh WHY is GoF in _none_ of the Worst of 2005 categories ?

I mean, every other movie/actor/and so on that is in the Best of 2005 category is in the Worst category as well, only GoF isn't !

Hypocrites, or what ?
posted by: sala01/02

everyone should just vote for what they want and stop criticizing others opinions. I'm voting for Harry Potter, because I did think it was the best, but I'm not saying you're wrong if you thought King Kong or Narnia was better.
posted by: LindaW01/02

sala, i did notice that too. it's really a bit canting.

Peevesrox:no way. i loved that movie. must vote.

You go peevesrox. GoF was fantastic, i'm not saying vote for it in every category but it deserves 'Best Family Film@ at the very least. I saw it with my family. And about 15 of my friends. Go GoF
posted by: Mulchie01/02

I just was wondering how come GoF is in the running for best ANUIMATED film?? its not animated, last I checked
posted by: Soon2Bfamous10701/02

i just voted for everything that was appropriate. but not everything was... i expect that it wasnt anyone but mugglenetters who voted HP for "Best Documentary". it cracked me up.
posted by: ali01/02

sorry but why is gof nowhere in the 'worst of 2005' category? its unfair that all the other films are in worst and best and only gof is in best or what?
posted by: CINDARELLY01/02

I voted for it in most categories. Looks like it's doing a lot better.
posted by: MasterNimbus01/02

i think that people should vote for what they think is the best movie and stuff, not harry potter, even if they love it too.
(i'm votin for GOF tho!!!!!!!!!!!&# 33;!!!!!)
posted by: krum01/02

the movie is doing much better since i voted good job guys! and go HP!!
