There's been quite alot of Potter stuff on TV lately featuring Weasley people - namely Rupert Grint & Julie Walters.
Also, Al Murray does actually talk to Rupert during the show about lying about his age. The Express printed a transcript, it was really quite funny.

"Twenty-one, " Grint squeaked. "No son, that is not going to convince anyone, " screamed Murray. "How old are you?" "Erm, 18, " concluded Grint. "Good boy. Now buy yourself a pint."

I just saw the last 15 minutes of it and he seemed really immature! He kept going on about how great Britian was and was insulting other countries. My mum told me about what he said about Rupert Grint. I saw them in the audience laughing though.

To be honest i didn't really like the show too much. There was of course the odd funny bit , but Al was so offensive to everyone other than himself. He kept saying HP was for kids too.

If anybody is embarrassed watching Al Murray then you have missed the point. Al Murray's humour is self deprecating. He is a parody of a certain type of white homophobic, misognistic, English male.

He said how the French were the neighbours from hell, that the Australians live at the arse end of the world, that some canadians are so crazy because they genuinely believve that they are French, that the Irish are silly potato faced people etc. Then he kissed the Bermuda Triangle because he said it was a place that makes Americans disappear. Mybe it was an observation of the British male, but it was still nasty.

al murray's comedy act is not taking the mick out of other cultures and people. in fact it is laughing at the BRITS who take that bigoted attitude. only the shortsighted would take it seriously. al murray is actually a very clever, astute man who has tapped successfully into that part of brit culture which is very wrong. it is exploiting that which actually promotes the opposite to what he is saying.
al murray is mates with a very prominent scotsman. the comedy persona is just that: a persona. it makes what he says even more ridiculous, cos you're watching thinking 'he is so wrong and rude'. the fact that the type of person who is actually like that is regarded by the viewers as an idiot to be laughed at is a very positive sign, cos it shows hardly any possess his character's opinions.

i don't think al really wanted to offend anyone, he was just doing it for a cheap laugh. I think the standard for comedey is getting lower everytime someone has to resort to using the same old jokes bashing other countries like how americans or self centered and like to blow up things, how canadians are crazy and live in igloos ect.because after the millionth time hearing them their not funny.Just stupid.

look, prin is right, al gets laughs from taking the mick out of the bad aspects of britain, when you think he is insulting other countries, he is mocking those who do it in real life.
in actual fact al is a very different person compaired to his onscreen act, i cant remember which; but i have seen him promote good causes on t.v like raising money for charity.
this sounds like i am taking it thick but im not, im just trying to say, that the al people saw on the link and some took offence to, is not the al in real life

in fact at the end of the 2nd link he even proves it when he takes the mick out of actors. the audience laugh as he criticises people acting like other people for cheap thrills...which is exactly what he is doing.
On comic relief he sang as part of the panel of celebrities for free to the whole brit public to raise money for third world countries. that's not the act of a racist bigot. he acts all disgusting to really repel you from the typical feircely patriotic 'pub landlord' type.

I personally don't like Al Murrays 'pub landlord' act, but I understand it's a piss-take of that typical working-class white male. No-one's pointed out he also had a go at women and homosexuals as well - basically everyone but him.
If anyone saw Hell's Kitchen, Al Murray came across as a genuinely nice guy, the pub landlord is just an act.
