JK Rowling says:
On criticism...
It depends what they say. Sometimes I agree with the criticism, though I can't say that's fun. It also depends who it is. There's a vast difference between being criticized by someone you really admire (which has happened) and someone who you don't admire at all (which doesn't hurt!)

Goblet of Fire - Flame or Lame?
Written by K'lyssa Selmon
Like millions of other fans around the world, I've downloaded the recently released Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire trailer and watched it. ...over, and over, and over again. And like so many others, I was in awe at what I saw.

I'll be the first to admit that a lot of the actors don't look even remotely close to what I imagined when I read the books. However, that doesn't take anything away from the movies for me. I personally like seeing the way other people envision the characters I love so much. If anything, it makes the movie more enjoyable.

Then there's the length of the movie. I don't think I'll ever be upset with the length of any of the movies. I mean, of course I'd like them to be longer - what Harry Potter fan wouldn't? But I think they do a really good job with the 2 and 1/2 hours allotted, and they definitely do the books justice. I'll stand by what I've always said - if you want
an exact interpretation of the books..read them!

GOF..PG-13? I know many fans are thrilled that GOF was rated PG-13, because it seems like this movie will stand alone - outside of the candy-coated genre the other three have been forced into. I can understand where concerned fans are coming from as far as worrying about how this rating will affect sales..but I honestly don't think seeing it on screen will be that much worse than reading in the book. Parents of the children who read the series must have at least a vague idea of what this movie will be like - and if they'll let them read it, I don't see why they wouldn't let them watch it.

I think I'm most looking forward to seeing is the final scene, Voldemort's rebirth. From what I've gathered
after reading many of the reviews, it's shaping up to an a fantastic final scene - and an absolutely brilliant film. I'm amazed at what I've seen from the movie so far, and I definitely think this will be the best of the movies to date. November 18th can't get here soon enough!

On behalf of the rest of the staff here at MuggleNet, I'd like to express our sincere condolences to all of those whose lives have been forever changed by the catastrophic Hurricane Katrina. I can only imagine what it must be like to see your entire life swept away in a matter of seconds. And I hope and pray that the pain heals with time, and that you can begin rebuilding your homes and lives soon.
