Certainly one of the greatest achievements in the Muggle world is the re-creation of Hogsmeade, Hogwarts Castle and the overall sensation one gets when walking into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park at the Islands of Adventure inside Universal Studios Orlando, Florida.
It’s been two full years since this truly magnificant park opened on June 18th, 2010, and has since captured the hearts and minds of millions of Harry Potter fans from around the world. This park has been so successful, that two more theme parks are currently being created in Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios in Osaka, Japan.
Today’s featured post is about the performing arts. In addition to numerous fan films being screened during Ascendio’s “Film Wizardry Film Festival,” there will be plenty of live and in-person entertainment to catch if you’re into drama.
On today’s Daily MuggleNet Ordinary Wizarding Level Examination (O.W.L.s) progress report, we take a look at two of the hardest exams: Potions and Arithmancy.
We understand that several E-owls are taking an extended period of time to deliver results. We are working on correcting this feature. Additionally, a results retrieval button is being added to the Test Selection Page upon entering the Great Hall that will allow you to dispatch an owl with all of your grades. However, this button will only appear after you have taken eight (8) O.W.L. exams in total.
We can officially say that the trio of Harry Potter stars have now all been cast in a music video as Dan Radcliffe has made the leap.
The first to appear in a music video was Emma Watson, when she starred in One Night Only’s Say You Want It video. Next, Rupert Grint appeared in Ed Sheeran’s Lego House. And finally, Dan Radcliffe completes the set in this music video titled Beginners by Slow Club.
LeakyCon 2012 has just announced another member of the Harry Potter family of actors thart will be in attendance this Summer. Louis Cordice – who portrayed Blaise Zabini – will be interacting with fans and participating in the programming between August 9 and 12 in Chicago, Illinois.
MISTI-Con 2013 and MuggleNet have partnered together to create an immersive Harry Potter fan experience taking place in May 2013. MISTI-Con’s main focus centers on the talent, art and achievements of the members of the fandom itself, highlighting the fantastic participatory nature of the fan community.
Our featured Fan Art submission this week comes courtesy of Andrew Meit. This image of the Hogwarts crest was created using Photoshop and Illustrator, CS5, and the artist truly did a spectacular job. Notice how smooth the wooden background looks, as well as the House animals, who have all been redone to give them visual shape and personality.
Ascendio is H.P.E.F’s upcoming eighth and final Harry Potter convention. Taking place at the luxurious Portofino Bay Resort at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL from July 12-15, 2012, Ascendio offers a unique way for fans to celebrate Harry Potter at the heart of the Wizarding World.
