Potter Profile - Emily

December 6, 2009
First off, how did you become a Harry Potter fan?
I Became a Harry Potter fan in Kindergarten, when I saw heaps of
kids at my school reading the books. I got the first two books for my birthday and
finished them really quickly. A few months later I found Mugglenet and got
absolutely hooked.
How are you feeling now that the series is over?
It's
bittersweet, I wish there were more books but I couldn't bear to not know what
happened yet.
We got our very first glimpse of Deathly Hallows this month!
Thoughts?
I'm really excited! I think that the split has given them the opportunity
to get everything right and from what we've seen I think that it will be the best
movie yet.
All seven books are out, there are two movies to go, and the theme
park> opens (hopefully) this spring. With so much to still look forward to, how> do
you think the fandom, and you, will change once the wait is over?
Well, the fandom
itself will not have anything major to look forward to so the anticipation will not
be there. I don't think I will change that much, although my friends will not have
to listen to my babbling as much because there will be nothing coming out.
If you
could pitch an idea to The WB for keeping Harry Potter & The> Wizarding World alive
for many more years to come, what would it be?
Hmmm... so many things, but I think
that it would be really great if the exhibition traveled for a longer amount of
time and to more places so that everyone has the opportunity to see the props and
costumes.
Are there events in your fandom past that you would change or that you>
wish you hadn't missed out on?
Oh yeah, I wish I had have been older so that I could
have been at all of the releases. Although the releases for 5, 6 and 7 were terrific
I would have loved to be there for all of them.
If you
could change who died in the series, which character would you keep alive and why?
(Submitted by Cassy S.)
Oh this is so hard, but I think Remus and Tonks, because I
found their deaths pointless and they weren't expanded on or even given a death
scene. That way Teddy would have been able to grow up with his parents and not have
yet another orphan.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I'd just like to thank
Mugglenet for keeping me sane throughout the years with my Potter obsession, and
Mugglecast for discussing all of the things that I want to talk about, but my
friends wouldn't listen.
