Potter Profile - Frances

June 14, 2009
First off, how did you become a Harry Potter fan?
Well, I started reading them when I was about 6 when my mum got the first four as a
bookset for Christmas. Since then I have been addicted!
How are you feeling now that the series is over?
Oh I thought the ending was great and it ended at a perfect time. I thought I would
be sad to see it over, but no, it was a great series and it will always be a great
series. I'm very satisfied with how it finished.
What is your favorite moment from the books?
oh that is so difficult! well, I love the funny bits with harry, ron and hermione,
and I also love when harry and ginny spend time together. I think my one favourite
moment is in The Deathly Hallows, when ron and hermione FINALLY show that they have
always liked eachother in the room of requirement. When hermione drops the basilisk
fangs and runs up and kisses him. While harry is left to remind them of the war
going on around them. It is one of the funny moments, and i think the moment ron and
hermione finally become a couple.
What is your favorite moment from the movies?
My favourite would have to be in the chamber of secrets, at the last feast where
hermione shows up out of the hospital wing. i love their reunion, it is so special!
If you could spend the day as one GOOD character from the books, who would it be?
Oh I would love to be Ginny Weasley (not just because of how her and harry get
together but that WOULD be a bonus!) I think she's really pretty and I love her
energetic spirit. She is so interesting and one of my favourite characters.
If you could spend the day as one EVIL character from the books, who would it be?
hmmm. I am not really sure. I suppose if I was to become evil I may aswell be the
evilest! so I'll go with voldemort. I'd love to find out if he has ever felt any
remorse for anything he has done, or if he has ever loved. I think even he must have
loved someone at some stage of his life. I think that would be a great, interesting
experience; finding out when (if ever) he still had love in him.
MuggleNet has a new book out, "Harry Potter Should Have Died". Thoughts?
I think that it would be too predictible. In a way, we all expected him to die in
the end and i am so glad J.K. Rowling didnt just do the easy thing and kill harry.
She is a great writer to have found a way to keep him alive, even at the end. I
would have been dissapointed with a simple; "hero dies tragically to be victorious"
ending, and its best he is alive. I think this is NOT a good idea.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I would like to thank J.K. Rowling for the masterpiece that she has created and let
her know how important Harry is and has always been to his many fans. She is a
genius, and I feel that I somehow know her from the imagination she put into these
books.
