Potter Profile - Nadiah

May 2, 2004

What I like about Harry Potter is how Rowling is able to come up with an incredible world with just the use of her creativity.

How and when did you get in to Harry Potter?
I started reading HP when I was...erm...12. I used to hate HP just because everyone is reading it. However, once I read the book, I couldn't put it down.

Which Harry Potter book is your favorite?
I like OotP best because it tells more about Harry and it shows that Harry is becoming more mature and he has more understanding of his destiny. I like it also because of the fact that the book is getting darker and more mysterious.

What character can you relate to most?
I can relate most to Harry potter.

Are you satisfied with the handling of the "boy/girl stuff" in book 5?
Yes. It still leaves us hanging on whether Ron is with Hermione or whether Harry is going out with someone else...That's the magic in Rowling's work.

What did you think was the most exciting thing that happened in book 5? What was the most disturbing? What left the biggest impression on you?
I like the part where they are fighting with the Death Eaters, and even Ginny and Neville who was so timid in the previous books were really involved in OotP. I think the death of Sirius Black is the most disturbing. It came rather unexpected to me. The fact that Harry will have to kill Lord Voldermort all by himself left the biggest impression on me.

Was the character that died the one you thought it would be? (Be honest now!)
Seriously, no. Not at all. I though Sirius would last till book 7.

Which house would you like to be in and why? Do you think the Sorting Hat would place you in that house?
I would like to be in Gryffindor becuase that's where all the good people are...But, I know myself well...I think the Sorting Hat would place me in Slytherin. I would do well in Slytherin. I'm rather ambitious and like to get things done my way.

Do you have anything else you'd like to add? Maybe a theory you've concocted, a shout-out?
Not really. I'm really bad at producing theories. I just hope that the movie PoA will do justice to the book unlike the previous 2 movies.
