Potter Profile - Stephanie

First off, how did you become a Harry Potter fan?
I was a sixth grader (11) in 2000, and I had gone to a new school. I was picked on for being the new kid, and for looking different. One day, while ignoring some slurs said in my direction, I noticed this girl who was also being bullied. I rescued her and we became friends. I went to her house and was hanging out in her room and I saw a couple of cool looking books on her shelf, so I grabbed them down. They were the Harry Potter books. She couldn't believe I hadn't read them and made me start them right away. When I got home I begged my mom to buy them for me, but she said she would only buy them for me one at a time. I was hooked instantly and have never looks back since! And the rest is history! :D

It has been over two years since Deathly Hallows came out and we found out how the series ended. Do you have the same reaction to the ending now, as you did then?
Always. The first time I read it, I knew what had happened but I must have missed a lot of the small details because I reread it the year after and found it to be almost a completely new book. And even now, after reading it 8 times, I still get the same reaction. I guess it depends on what you mean by ending. I loved the last chapter ("The Flaw in the Plan") . Back then, I loved the entire ending, including the epilogue. However, now, I feel myself disappointed that we weren't able to find out more of what happened after old Voldy kicked the bucket. And I felt the epilogue was a little too cheesy, and felt, by that time, that JKR was just tired of writing. I guess it was good, and I am forever thankful that Harry lives and starts a family with Ginny! And I'm happy Ron and Hermione are together! There are quite a few organizations/clubs at Hogwarts. Which you would rather join and why: Dueling Club, Dumbledore's Army, or S.P.E.W.?
Hmmm, I think that if I were in the wizarding world, I would want to take advantage of it all. D.A. would probably be the best. I'm not sure about S.P.E.W. Even though I am an avid animal rights advocate in the muggle world, I feel the S.P.E.W. would be violating the wishes of the House Elves. Unless they are being deliberately abused (like Dobby), I don't see why Hermione would have fret with those at Hogwarts. Those elves have it made!

If you could attend Hogwarts, Which class do you think would be your favorite?
Defense Against the Dark Arts, hands down. Though, I do think I would really enjoy Arthimancy, and the difficulty of Transfiguration. And Charms would be awesome. Dang it, I would like them all! Even Divination!

Which class would be your best, whether you liked it or not?
Hmmm, maybe potions. I usually have very good attention to detail, and can follow instructions very well.

Okay, be honest. We got you this year with our April Fool's story about JKR writing a Potter prequel featuring Elvendork. However, if she really wrote it, it would be so...
HILARIOUS! I would laugh. I think JKR has a brilliant sense of humor. Maybe she should do it, just to humor us.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
I love Albus Dumbledore, and everything he says is true. And I would like to thank MuggleNet for choosing me (I thought my application had been lost in time), and a shoutout to all of the amazing people who joined my facebook fan page "JKR could eat a box of Alpha-Bits cereal and poop better literature than SMeyer"! You guys rock!

Professor Trelawney broke into hysterical sobs during Divination and announced to the startled class, and a very disapproving Umbridge, that Harry was not going to suffer an early death after all, but would live to a ripe old age, become Minister of Magic, and have twelve children.
