Potter Profile - Tamika

August 29, 2004

What is your favorite Harry Potter book and why?
I absolutely adore Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I'm not sure what it is about it, maybe the incorporation of wizards from around the world? There's also heaps of adventure, grief, suspense and the widest variety of characters so far in my opinion. It's also the perfect length and I think that JK did some of her best writing in it. I think after that it would be Order of the Phoenix because Luna came in.

Did you like the third movie or not and why?
I loved it! It was so dark and the colours and special effects used were awesome. It stayed true to the books and Dan, Rupert and Emma have grown so much. The script was great with little side bits proving to be some of the best moments in it, (i.e. Ron's spider dream). I really liked how it seemed so much more real as well, for example when Harry was walking down the street at the beginning, he could have been walking through my neighbourhood, and I liked the boy's slumber party. A downside would be that Hermione is wearing her hair up and looking so beautiful already, since that doesn't leave much of a surprise for the fourth movie.

If you could spend the day as one character from the books, who would it be?
Luna. I swear she is my kindred spirit, you can just tell that there is something special about her and I would love to find out.

A What do you think of all this "relationship" arguments about who will end up with who, etc.?
Luna/Harry is my favourite, and I think something will start to develop in the next book - I mean, why else would she have been added if nothing else was going to happen. Ron/Hermione is something that I don't think I need to even justify. Maybe Neville/Ginny. Going into the past I think that there may have been a bit of Lupin/Lily going on. I didn't agree with Harry/Cho at all, it was nice to see Harry develop a crush as well as get over it, but I think it was just a mini plot to make the story more realistic.

What is your favorite moment of the series so far?
This is going to sound really strange but the first thing that came to my mind was Harry getting to visit the prefects bathroom. 0.o

Who do you think the Half-Blood prince is?
Hagrid! I've thought that from the very beginning, but there are so many other possibilities as well. I don't understand when people say Sirius or Lupin, Lupin is half-blood, true, but JK was going to use this title for Chamber of Secrets and said that there were clues in it. I don't remember reading anything at all about Lupin or Sirius and I don't see how they had anything to do with the plot. Even though I don't want it to happen, I say make way for Hagrid's death.

Do you have anything else you'd like to add? Maybe a theory you've concocted, a shout-out?
Yay! for Luna/Harry, Sirius/Lily and the Sibling Theory (Harry + Hermione = brother and sister!)

Rita looked as though she would have liked nothing better than to seize the paper umbrella sticking out of Hermione's drink and thrust it up her nose.
