This week, the Time-Turner takes us ten years back to 2009 as we talk about the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” movie split, “A Very Potter Musical”, and MuggleSpace.
Harry needs both Ron and Hermione in his life; together, Ron and Hermione generously provide all the elements that Harry needs to be a fully functioning, more-than-adequately happy human being. By ripping the dialogue out of book-Ron’s mouth and shoving them into movie-Hermione’s does nothing except satisfy Harry/Hermione shippers and destroy any character building on Ron’s part.
After seeing the seventh movie, we can’t help but think the relationships between Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny have suffered in favor of featuring Harry and Hermione together in key emotional scenes.
“Deathly Hallows Part 1” was not the best film yet. Poor use of its soundtrack takes away from the overall experience, making it harder to find yourself transported by the cinematic experience.
