I think Harry/Hermione shippers on the whole have carried themselves well since the revelations in HBP, and I respect them for that, but some have not been so graceful in their "defeat;" the crazies have given me enough material for a Great Wall of Shame.

Most of these posts are from a public thread on the H.M.S. Harmony (Harry/Hermione ship) forum. I don't make a habit of visiting, except I was kindly invited by the site admin to a thread where I was pleasantly surprised to find there were people burning me in effigy and planning my painful and not-so-far-in-the-future demise. As they've taken it upon themselves to share on their turf, I have taken it upon myself to share on mine. Come on, you didn't see this coming? I've always been a smart-ass.

Mad-Eye Mike [Lead Lemming]: This main forum will now function for one purpose - to give each and every H/Hr shipper the opportunity to respond to J.K. Rowling and the two morons from MN and TLC who interviewed her. Here you may answer the charges of H/Hr shippers being delusional, militant and angry. You may express your views and show why the evidence was there for the H/Hr ship, even if Ms. Rowling, unfortunately, did not see it.

You're free to post your analysis, essays, personal letters, etc., with your insights into the series (even in hindsight); why you shipped Harmony; the evidence you saw in canon; the writing mistakes you feel were made; the lack of and contradictory nature of the so-called, "ANVIL-sized" [hints]; the misuse of symbolism and much more.

So please, use this forum to let her know the way you feel about her comments, or point out how, why and where she went wrong in her development of the characters, or simply discuss how she will have missed a golden opportunity to tell one of the greatest love stories ever told.

Emerson, Melissa... Why not treat others as you would like to be treated? How would you have felt if Harmony sailed and we laughed at you? How would you feel if we called you delusional when you were already feeling down because your ships didn't sail? You wouldn't have like it would you?

I'm sure I wouldn't care. You see, I, unlike you, can take a joke. I'd be a little disappointed - yes, just a LITTLE - but I think there's more to life than obsessing about the love lives of a bunch of fictional characters, and I would be disappointed if I didn't get an earful of I-Told-You-So's on the part of the Harry/Hermione shippers. Both parties have been claiming to be right for years; I think we've earned the right to a little gloating. Immature? Probably. But I'm 18 and IDGRA.

No Matter what Mugglenet is the biggest HP site and I dont see that changing. So he is an Ass but we can not win just by name calling and he is still admired by most of the HP fandom.

And honestly, I suggest others do the same. It may hurt the forums to lose so many original posters. Let's give up on Emerson, too. Maybe his site will be forced into the ground without us...

It might be better to have Harmonians there representing our ideals since those sites are so well established. I even wonder if it might be a good idea for more of us to post there more often since that is where our voices are likely to be heard by greater numbers. ... If hundred of Harmonians crowded their forums defending the ideals represented by Harmony, that might be very powerful. We could weave examples and ideas of why H/Hr would have been better than H/G or R/Hr into every topic. We could post essays and speculate about how perfect H/Hr would have been and how this could have been a story of great love conquering a vast evil.

That you can't always accept things that are face value and are easy; and choose to believe things that are shallow and not deep. Maybe there will be this huge twist in book seven where she slams down on a large population of her reader's and tells them, "Are you guys really that shallow!? Why can't you be more like the delusional militants that dig deeper for things in life?" And they'll say, "What about the hints? And yes, book 7 is still this huge literary enigma. Nobody but JKR knows the outcome. So, I think we are back to square one (before HBP) and the question again is - Will it be R/Hr or H/Hr? Since Harry did break off his relationship with Ginny in HBP, then I believe Ginny is no longer a part of the romance triangle.
