“Order of the Phoenix” Rumor of Filming in Czech Republic

Today, the Express (UK newspaper) ran a story detailing how filming for the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie could be moved from Scotland to the Czech Republic. Bad weather conditions and tax incentives are just some of the reasons for this decision.

A Warner Bros. representative on location in Scotland had this to say: “We are all worried the fifth film might not even be made in Scotland. The tax incentives are not in place here, and with delays such as we’ve had, things get expensive.”

However, a Warner Bros. spokesman in London stated, “I have not heard anything about leaving Scotland. But any discussion relating to the fifth film needs to go through the United States office, not the UK one.”

More information on this story can be found in an article by The Leaky Cauldron.
