July 31 marks not only the first day of Pottermore’s beta test openings, but two very significant birthdays in the fandom.

Harry Potter, the Master of Death, turns 31 years old today and will be celebrating with his wife, Ginny, and 3 children: James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna.

Meanwhile, the Master of Storytelling herself, J.K. Rowling, will be celebrating her birthday with husband Neil Murray, and her 3 children: Jessica, David, and Mackenzie.
