Fan Art of the Week: “Your Mother’s Eyes”

Our next featured fan art submission this week is titled, ‘Your Mother’s Eyes‘ and is from MuggleNet fan Jared. He has drawn an incredible piece that is far more than a duplication of the original screenshot from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2. According to the artist, “This is one of the most powerful scenes for me in the series so I wanted to share my work. I hope you like it.”

Noah’s Notes: We do Jared, we do! this is one epic piece of art! in this moment before his death, Snape’s face looks eerily cold the way that Jared drew it. His facial features almost seem to come together like a puzzle, building a great, drooping face that is slipping into darkness on either side. In spite of all that Jared captured the expression in Snape’s eyes perfectly – desperation, and a sudden deep desire to see his true love’s eyes one last time. Truly great work Jared, and we’ll be looking forward to more fan art from you!
