MuggleNet Throwback: Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens to the public

Certainly one of the greatest achievements in the Muggle world is the re-creation of Hogsmeade, Hogwarts Castle and the overall sensation one gets when walking into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park at the Islands of Adventure inside Universal Studios Orlando, Florida.

It’s been two full years since this truly magnificent park opened on June 18th, 2010, and has since captured the hearts and minds of millions of Harry Potter fans from around the world. This park has been so successful, that two more theme parks are currently being created in Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios in Osaka, Japan.

Additionally, we have been reporting on the expansion of the original Wizarding World theme park in Orlando that would most likely include Diagon Alley, a Gringotts Bank Cart ride, and a ride on the Hogwarts Express from one park to the other.

Congratulations to Universal Studios and WB for making many dreams come true with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
