J.K. Rowling included in 18th edition of ‘Barlett’s Familiar Quotations’

A quotation from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets has been included in the 18th edition of Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations, which hit stores November 9.

The quotation chosen for inclusion:

“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”

The first edition of Bartlett’s was published in 1855, and is renowned for collecting famous and culturally significant quotations, so it’s quite an honor for Rowling to be included in the most recent edition! Jon Stewart, Maurice Sendak, and Bruce Springsteen are also among those who have new quotations appearing in this edition of Bartlett’s.  Check out the whole list here.
