“Mudbloods” – an exciting documentary on Muggle Quidditch needs your help NOW!

The REAL sport of Quidditch has come such a long way over the last few years, and we want you to become a part of this expanding sport by helping to fiinsh this two-year documentary project on the game itself called Mudbloods, by F. Nikbakht Sangari.

Mudbloods follows the UCLA Quidditch team on their journey to the 5th annual Quidditch World Cup in New York City in 2011. The film is a culmination of two years spent documenting the fearless, bold individuals who dedicate their lives to the sport of Quidditch, including the entrepreneurial force behind the International Quidditch Association (IQA), the primary governing body of this fledgling sport.

You’ll meet the guiding force behind the powerful UCLA team with Tom Marks. While this documentary tells the story of the journey to the Quidditch World Cup V in New York, we cannot forget that this UCLA team was in the championship match at last year’s World Cup in Kissimmee, Florida. They played an incredible match but fell to the University of Texas at Austin to finish runner-up.

You’ll also spend time with Alex Benepe, the CEO and co-founder of the International Quidditch Association and the brains behind this rapidly expanding sport.

They’re now putting the finishing touches on the film. Mudbloods is the most comprehensive, emotional, and exciting portrayal of what it means to play Quidditch. As fans of the sport, MuggleNet is excited to see this final project!

However, as Quidditch players know, while you can be leading on the scoreboard the game isn’t over until you get the Snitch. This is where YOU come in. They need your support to finish the film in the most professional manner possible and to help them bring this story to as many people as they can.

Specifically, they need finishing funds. These go to supporting some new, important Mudlbood teammates – an amazing animator and a talented composer. And these funds also contribute to some of the most important components of the final film: graphics, color correction, a comprehensive sound design, and mix, as well as final mastering. The story is incomplete without these crucial final touches.
