Twitter Roundup: Farewell, Roger Lloyd Pack

by Claire Furner · January 18, 2014

We begin this roundup on a somber note as the British acting community said goodbye to one of their own this week.

R.I.P Roger Lloyd-Pack. Was such a lovely man to work with.

— Devon Murray (@DevonMMurray) January 17, 2014

Roger is known among the Potter fandom for playing the Head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation, Barty Crouch, Sr., in The Goblet of Fire. Our thoughts are with his friends and family.

On the happier side of things, Bonnie Wright got her bake on for charity.

TONIGHT my @BritishBakeOff 9:30pm BBC2, the night I take a charity cooking show too seriously! Laugh along but ONLY if u donate @sportrelief

— Bonnie Wright (@thisisbwright) January 13, 2014

And did pretty well!

A HUGE well done to @thisisbwright on winning hands down on #GBBOSportRelief x

— Devon Murray (@DevonMMurray) January 13, 2014

MY WINNER @thisisbwright !!Well done Bon,clear winner! Now get baking,I want some cake next time I come round!Looked YUM!! #GBBOSportRelief

However, she wasn’t the only one taking home first place this week.

Alfonso Cuaron continued his winning streak at various film award ceremonies, including the Golden Globes, where he also bumped into an old colleague.

Once again, Leavesden Studios has something up their sleeves…

My sister's got a casting for something for the @wbstudiotour tomorrow, (not sure what) hope she gets it 'wink' 'wink' 😉

Some of you may have seen this adorable picture of eleven-year-old Warwick Davis on the set of Star Wars. Well, it’s now available as a print, signed, sealed, and delivered.

This photo has been doing the rounds on the internet recently, so we made it available on http://t.co/vBqXVXiGTJ pic.twitter.com/Yme1x7A0Bd

— The Signature Shop (@SignatureShop) January 14, 2014

In other news, Tom popped his model hat on once again, strutting his stuff for GQ.

Big thanks to @TheGQStyle for such a fun photo shoot this morning. Pics are gonna be great! x pic.twitter.com/yxxt3qpfn6

— Tom Felton (@TomFelton) January 16, 2014

As well as offering up a viewing tip for his followers.

RT pls Check out my friend's @mrosenbaum711 really funny movie Back in the Day that he directed, now on itunes http://t.co/uW2Sbd99JE

If you are peckish in South London any time soon, here is a glowing recommendation from Twitter’s cheeriest fellow.

Ah, the best restaurant I've ever been to, @TheDairyClapham , is on twitter. Should make for some good food porn.

— Sean Biggerstaff (@Seanchuckle) January 14, 2014

Seeking motivation for an upcoming deadline? Take some inspiration from Evanna.

I turned the eyes of my dolls to face my work station to scare me into working harder. Yep, that'll do… http://t.co/pqX9V7vJL3

— Evanna Lynch (@Evy_Lynch) January 13, 2014

On second thoughts, maybe not! But perhaps her later tweet is more relatable.

Pretty sure I read so much fantasy that if a cat were to suddenly start talking to me I'd just be like 'FINALLY, what took you so long?!'

— Evanna Lynch (@Evy_Lynch) January 17, 2014

And finally, the Jessie Cave Moment of the Week goes to this quiet charmer.

If someone wants to borrow my pen I have to say yes because they can't know it's a Super Pen because then they'll try to borrow it regularly

— Jessie Cave (@pindippycave) January 15, 2014

Although one of her many illustrations was a close second!
