Emma Watson starts work on “Regression” in Toronto

Emma Watson spent her birthday hard at work on the set of upcoming thriller Regression this past Tuesday, telling fans on Twitter that it was a “very cool birthday present.” The film, which is directed and written by Alejandro Amenábar, sees a father being accused of a crime he has no memory of committing.

Other cast members include Ethan Hawke, fellow Potter alum David Thewlis, who played Remus Lupin in the film series, Dale Dickey, and Adam Butcher. So far, not much information regarding the film’s plot has been released, but it does see the return of director Alejandro Amenábar to the thriller genre. He previously directed the 2001 hit The Others, starring Nicole Kidman.
