MuggleNet Throwback: Daniel Radcliffe’s devilish side

Daniel Radcliffe has taken major departures from his role as Harry Potter many times now, but just two years ago this week, Radcliffe began filming one of his most extremely different roles yet as Ig Perrish in Horns. And since Horns is due to be released in just a few weeks’ time on Halloween, we thought we would take a look back at Radcliffe’s turn in the film for this week’s MuggleNet Throwback!

As filming began on Horns, Radcliffe spoke candidly about his role to Entertainment Weekly, saying,

[It’s] deeply emotional and also incredibly outrageous in some ways… To play somebody who, in the midst of a time in his life of great turmoil anyway, undergoes this horrific transformation into a devil character – it was very, very exciting.

We’ve come a long way since Potter, that seems for sure! And as if Radcliffe’s comments weren’t enough to show the strangeness of his new role, the initial movie poster and trailer were intriguing as well, to say the least. Check it out below!
