Pottermore announces the Proudest House Contest

by Sophie Reid · January 28, 2015

This weekend A Celebration of Harry Potter takes place in Orlando. A tentative schedule of the event was released only a few days ago. To coincide with this celebration, Pottermore has announced that it will be running a House Pride competition this weekend. To explain more, the Pottermore Insider has posted a guide as to how the competition will work.

The competition is being run in order for you to

celebrate what your Hogwarts [H]ouse means to you and show us your creativity and imagination. The prize will be one million [H]ouse points to the [H]ouse that celebrates its pride the most vociferously.

Here are the basic guidelines as to how the competition will work:

You create a post, movie, image or other creative celebration of your [H]ouse pride.

Add your [H]ouse pride hashtag to your contribution: #GryffindorPride #SlytherinPride #RavenclawPride #HufflepuffPride.

Upload your brilliant idea on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or Instagram.

We will share some of the best [H]ouse pride celebrations on the Pottermore Insider, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and Instagram.

After the weekend, the entries will be counted up and the winner awarded. Read the full list of rules here.

Are you going to get involved with the competition this weekend? Which House are you representing? Let us know in the comments!
