Alfie Enoch’s “How to Get Away with Murder” co-stars reveal “Potter” pranks

by Sophie Reid · February 28, 2015

Poor Alfie Enoch (Dean Thomas). It seems that Alfie cannot get away from his Harry Potter past and keeps running into Potter references in his current job. A new interview with the cast of hit US show How to Get Away with Murder has revealed that Alfie’s co-stars keep playing Potter-related tricks on him.

In an interview with Wetpaint, one of the cast members, Jack Falahee, revealed how they’ve managed to sneak Potter references onto the set during filming:

The funniest thing is that I found the other day in Wes’[s] apartment [set], on the bookshelf there’s a Harry Potter: Behind the Scenes production book — and Alfred didn’t even know! I pointed it out to him, and he was like, ‘Oh my [G]od, this is so embarrassing.’ You leaf through it, and there’s little Alfred sitting at [the] Gryffindor’s [sic] table! He requested that it be removed because it was just destroying his entire world.

Another cast member, Katie Findlay, who plays Alfie’s love interest in the show and is also a huge Potter fan, further revealed,

The best part about Alfie being in Harry Potter is that when he does things I like, I get to say, ‘10 points [to] Gryffindor!’ I also do it to Alfie when he does things that bother me, and I want to embarrass him. Or I make comments about his [Q]uaffle control. That shuts him up.

It sounds like the cast certainly has fun on set, even if it leaves Alfie a little embarrassed!

The first series of How to Get Away with Murder has just concluded, so make sure you catch up if you’ve missed it! Have you been watching the series? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
