OWLs – What Wizarding Career Do You Want?

by Eleanor Harrison · June 23, 2015

Are you destined to be an Auror? Or a dishwasher at the Leaky Cauldron? Take our OWLs to find out if you qualify! Only the most hardcore Harry Potter fans have what it takes.

If you get one OWL you could work in Muggle relations and be Arthur Weasley’s assistant!

(Muggle Studies)

If you get two OWLs you could be a Hogwarts professor like Neville Longbottom!

(Charms and Herbology)

If you get three OWLs you could run your own joke shop like Fred and George!

(Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology and/or Transfiguration)

If you gain four OWLs you could be a dragonologist like Charlie Weasley!

If you gain five OWLs above Exceeds Expectations you could be an Auror like Harry Potter and Ron Weasley!

If you get six OWLs you could be a Gringotts Curse-Breaker like Bill Weasley!

(Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, and Transfiguration)

If you gain more than six OWLs you can look forward to interesting and varied careers at the Ministry of Magic like Hermione Granger, or even become headmaster/headmistress of Hogwarts like Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape!

Or you know… end up like Barty Crouch, Jr…

Got 12 OWLs – wound up getting his soul sucked out by a Dementor…

Try out our sample question!

What type of charm did Hermione cast on the Dumbledore’s Army Galleons?

  1. Gemino Curse
  2. Invisibility Charm
  3. Protean Charm
  4. Gripping Charm
  5. Impervius Charm

Hurry because the OWLs are closing soon!

Potter Quote

“I suggest you both go up to Madam Pomfrey. She is already tending to Miss Fawcett, of Ravenclaw, and Mr. Summers, of Hufflepuff, both of whom decided to age themselves up a little too. Though I must say, neither of their beards is anything like as fine as yours.”
