Social Roundup: NEWT Results Day!

by Sophie Reid · August 16, 2015

Once again, our Potter stars have been busy this week.

It was a big day for British 17 and 18 year olds, as AS Level and A Level results were released – perhaps comparable to the Potter world NEWT exams. The older Potter stars were on hand to dish out some advice:

It’s results day in the UK for AS and A Level students. Be happy, be content and remember, results aren’t everything… 🙂

— Chris Rankin (@chrisrankin) August 13, 2015

Good luck with your A-Levels. I mean, it’s too late now regardless but you know. FYI, I got BBC so naturally I now work for Amazon Prime. — Matthew Lewis (@Mattdavelewis) August 13, 2015

Hope everyone getting their A level results got what they wanted today. If you didn’t there’s always an alternative route. ?

— Oliver Phelps (@OliverPhelps) August 13, 2015

However a joke shop in Diagon Alley is already taken. ? — Oliver Phelps (@OliverPhelps) August 13, 2015

And congratulations to Rohan on his results.

My AS Level results: Drama – A English Lit – A History – A General Studies – A Ancient History – B Archaeology Unit 1 – B

In other news, J.K. Rowling let slip an intriguing fact about her upcoming book, Career of Evil…

My research into the subject matter of #CareerOfEvil literally gave me nightmares, which has never happened before. It’s a scary book. — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) August 14, 2015

… as well as reminding us that she’s just as human as we are.

It took me three goes to get into Twitter today because I didn’t notice I’d spelled my own name ‘Rowing’. #forgiven https://t.co/GMfx2KzZAz

Finally, Afshan Azad left us with this inspirational quote for the week:

Potter Quote
