Public Booking for “Cursed Child” Opens Tomorrow!

by Callum Lloyd Thomas · October 29, 2015

Get your alarms set, Muggles! Public booking for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will open tomorrow at 11 a.m. GMT, and to ensure that fans are given the best possible chance of obtaining tickets for the show, the producers will open up a further booking period, which runs from January 11, 2017, to April 30, 2017. With the exception of late release and lottery tickets, as of 11 a.m. tomorrow, all available tickets will be on public sale. To book tickets, head over to the Cursed Child website tomorrow, where links for booking through the two official ticketing agencies, ATG and Nimax, will become available.

Yesterday, the first batch of tickets went on sale for performances from June 7 to September 18, 2016, for those who had registered for priority booking. The tickets had all sold out within hours, so the producers made the decision to release tickets for the second booking period (September 21, 2016, to January 8, 2017), also to those who had signed up for priority booking. In a statement issued last night, the producers revealed that by 7 p.m. GMT, over 175,000 tickets had already been sold for Cursed Child, which is unprecedented for a theater production.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany. The play will receive its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in the summer of 2016. To find out more about Cursed Child, don’t forget to head over to our section dedicated to the play here.

Were you one of the lucky fans who managed to get tickets yesterday? Or are you planning on buying some when they go on general sale tomorrow? Let us know all of your thoughts in the comments.
