“A Night of Spells”: Bloomsbury Announces 2016 Harry Potter Book Night

Earlier today, Bloomsbury announced the theme for the upcoming Harry Potter Book Night, which is scheduled to take place on February 4, 2016. This year’s theme is “A Night of Spells.”

As you might recall, the first official Harry Potter Book Night was held in February of 2015, with an amazing 10,500 parties and celebrations held throughout the world in celebration of the books. Haven’t been to a Harry Potter Book Night? Bloomsbury has a perfect reason why you should attend, or perhaps even organize one yourself:

If you haven’t already, make a date in your [planner] for Thursday, February 4[,] 2016! Once again, fans of all ages will have the chance to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s wonderful novels – and pass the magic on to young readers who haven’t yet discovered these unforgettable books.

Those interested in hosting an event can get more information on the Bloomsbury website. Several resources are available, including a printed event kit that will be available to the first 4,000 people who sign up before November 23. Bloomsbury is encouraging everyone to share their plans and ideas for 2016’s “A Night of Spells” on Facebook and Twitter using  #HarryPotterBookNight.

HARRY POTTER BOOK NIGHT 2016 A NIGHT OF SPELLS

Bloomsbury Children’s Books are very excited to announce A Night of Spells as the theme for Harry Potter Book Night 2016. Whether it is the disarming Expelliarmus or the dreaded Avada Kedavra, spells are at the very heart of all of the Harry Potter books, making them a perfect focus for the second Harry Potter Book Night. With an updated event kit themed around spells and lots more exciting elements yet to be announced, once again fans of all ages will have the chance to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s wonderful novels – and pass the magic on to young readers who haven’t yet discovered these unforgettable books. For the first Harry Potter Book Night in February 2015, there were an amazing 10,500 parties organized and #HarryPotterBookNight trended for most of the day. Next year’s event promises to be even bigger and better as international publishers join in the celebrations to bring Harry Potter Book Night 2016 to fans all over the world, making it a truly global event. So, make a date in your diary as Harry Potter Book Night returns for a second year on Thursday, February 4th, 2016.
