Holiday Gifts for Potterheads of All Sorts

by Ashley McCann · December 16, 2015

Stuck on what to get for your Potterhead friend for that ultimate holiday gift? Whether they are into art, books, tech gear, or have other interests, there is something for everyone. Here are the top Harry Potter gifts for this season:

 1. Harry Potter Funko Pop! figure

The Harry Potter Pop! vinyl figure collection came out July of this year, and they have definitely been a hot item ever since. If that special Potter fan doesn’t have one of these by now, I’d say it’s about time. If you’re looking for a stocking stuffer, one of the seven characters released might just do the trick. Or surprise them with them all (plus two special Harry figures – one in Quidditch attire and one with Godric Gryffindor’s sword!) If the receiver is an avid collector, and you’re worried they might already have them, they probably wouldn’t mind having two sets – one for display and one to keep in the box!

2. Harry Potter Adult Coloring Book

From movie scenes to Quidditch posters, this has it all! The magnificent coloring book came out this November, just in time for holiday shopping needs. The gorgeous details within the pages of this book will woo any Potter fan, especially one with an artistic streak.

3. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

With all the exciting Fantastic Beasts news released over the past few weeks, giving this book as a present would be the ultimate way to help your bookworm friend gear up in anticipation of the movie.

4. Harry Potter-themed jewelry

If the giftee is into wearing their Potter love for the entire world to see, a piece of jewelry is a practical gift that they can appreciate everyday. A unique, handmade necklace or bracelet is a great way to personalize this gift. Try making these DIY necklaces to add this personal touch: a Luna Lovegood-inspired butterbeer cork necklace, a Golden Snitch necklace, and finally, my personal favorite, a Felix Felicis charm.

5. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone: The Illustrated Edition

This is the perfect family gift for Potter-loving parents who want to introduce their children to Harry Potter. This edition, which was released in October, brings the book to life in a new and exciting way. There is no better time to bring a family together than during the holidays, and it will be especially easy with the help of breathtaking illustrations by Jim Kay.

6. Remote Control Wand

This remote, brought to us by the Wand Company, lets the wielder magically control a television set with nothing more than a swish and flick. This is the closest thing to a magic wand that you will get without making a trip to Ollivanders. Get this for the Harry Potter lover in your life who marathons the movies every chance they get; it will immerse them into the experience in the most interactive way.

7. Potter-Themed Dog Collar

Dog collars such as this one can be purchased or handmade and customized to fit a pup’s exact personality. This is one of the most unique items I’ve come across, so it is definitely a must-have for the passionate pooch parent Potterhead on your list.
