What better way to celebrate your House pride than with a little extra (Disney) magic?
Massachusetts-based artist Isaiah K. Stephens created a phenomenal series of Disney characters at Hogwarts for Cosmopolitan. Here’s the series, along with some MuggleNet insight on his Sorting abilities.
We would place Elsa in… SLYTHERIN! Slytherins are resourceful, self-preserving, and clever. Elsa possesses all of these traits and takes good care of her own, another core Slytherin value.
Well, how can you argue with this? Ursula uses the same false pretense of helping her victims as Dolores Umbridge. Both ladies put on a fresh face while carrying out their acts of evil.
Pocahontas and Li Shang are certifiable Gryffindors because they follow their heart and have incredible passion for the causes they are loyal to. Naturally, they’d be on their respective House teams, especially Pocahontas, since she’d be able to fly with all the colors of the wind. Jasmine and Naveen are equipped with the wit to knock the competition off their brooms, making them excellent Ravenclaw candidates.
We are not 100% convinced that Snow White would be Sorted into Slytherin. She is patient, hard-working, kind, and fair, which are all Hufflepuff traits. Unless the poisoned apple had a similar effect to the Killing Curse and left a few hidden traits of the Evil Queen, we think she should be sporting different House colors.
Oh, Aladdin, not always the smoothest hero, which leads us to think flying lessons may not be a breeze. Mulan, Jane, Jasmine, and Milo watch from afar, hoping for the best. Aladdin would be a Hatstall of Gryffindor and Slytherin because he has the cunning slyness of the green and silver, but his heart is pure as the red and gold.
Poor Prince Adam must have concocted a nasty potion to turn him back into the Beast, but his Sorting into Slytherin is a perfect fit. The emerald and silver is also becoming of Megara, whose cunning both hurt and helped Hercules in his fight against Hades. Belle is a natural for Ravenclaw with her love of reading and learning.
Milo would be a perfect fit for Ravenclaw. With his love of exploring, it’s no surprise he got his hands on the Marauder’s Map. Eric and Pocahontas are easy Sorts for Gryffindor with their respective passions for exploring the great outdoors and sailing the ocean. While it is difficult to discern the colors for Tarzan, he appears to be sporting crimson and gold, which suits him well with his jungle-dwelling, leopard-fighting past. Ariel’s tie is even more difficult to make out, but it’s not Gryffindor or Ravenclaw… so we think she would be a great fit for Hufflepuff. She is kind, gentle, dedicated, and fiercely loyal.
While Tiana is certainly brave, we might argue that she would be Sorted into Hufflepuff. She worked two jobs from sun-up to sun-down to save money to open her own restaurant. Her work ethic and patience, not to mention her kindness to everyone she meets, would match well with Hufflepuff values. At the very least, she was probably a Hatstall. As for Naveen, Ravenclaw would suit him well for his wit and creativity, but one would think that he would fare better at Transfiguration!
All of these Sortings are spot-on! Belle is most certainly a bookworm and would be thrilled to be a Ravenclaw. She’d make for an excellent prefect! Aurora is kind, gentle, and friendly, which would make Hufflepuff the natural choice. Philip already took on a dragon, so Gryffindor would be ecstatic to have him.
Ariel and Mulan are sporting what looks to be Hufflepuff ties as they work together on conjuring their Patronuses. While we think Mulan would be better suited in Gryffindor, Ariel is well placed in a House that relies on loyalty and dedication.
