“Fantastic Beasts” Roundup: The Final Countdown

by Sophie Reid · November 6, 2016

It’s hard to believe that after so many years of excitement, analysis, discussion, and anticipation, we’re now less than two weeks away from the release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. In our latest Fantastic Beasts roundup, we’ve collected some of the highlights as the cast continues to promote the film.

Ezra Miller (Credence) proves he’s just like us.

In a piece in the New York Times, director David Yates gave an interesting look at where the film series is heading.

Unlike Voldemort, who was an angry brute, the next iteration is much more lethal. He wants to win the hearts and minds in a way that’s quite beguiling and sophisticated, but his values are dangerous. Such new nemeses are able through sheer charisma and ability to inspire and hypnotize and carry the crowd, and take the world to a darker place. That’s where the next story is going.

We recently discovered that if you search one of the following spells on Amazon.com, a Fantastic Beasts trailer pops up:

Aguamenti
Incendio
Reducto
Orchideous
Lumos

Make sure to give it a go!

Plus, while we’re on the subject of trailers, several new TV spots and clips have been released, as well as another featurette.

In one of his many recent chat show appearances, Eddie Redmayne spoke to Ellen about his role as Newt Scamander.

And this weekend, the cast members were in New York for a press junket.
