We Now Know the Goldsteins’ – and Their Creator’s! – Ilvermorny Houses

With the release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them last month, Muggles, No-Majs, and wizards alike came to love new characters in the wizarding world, including sisters Tina and Queenie Goldestein and Jacob Kowalski. In the film, Queenie and Newt Scamander have a brief discussion on wizarding schools. This, of course, led everyone to wonder which Ilvermorny Houses the sisters were in. Today, J.K. Rowling confirmed:

Though Jacob may feel left out of the wizarding world as a No-Maj, Rowling still knows exactly where he would fit in the American school of magic:

She also reiterated some information we previously learned on Pottermore about MACUSA president Seraphina Picquery:

Though we never got to see these characters at Ilvermorny, it’s exciting to have some more information about their personalities and backgrounds!
