by Megan Fischer · April 26, 2017

No-Maj? No problem! We here at MuggleNet have the lowdown on all the magic at Wizard World Comic Con: Minneapolis.

The convention is located at the Minneapolis Convention Center. (Click here for a map!) The events begin Friday, May 5, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. Friday’s events will close up at 9:00 p.m. and will open back up to the public the following Saturday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 7, at 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Read on for a guide to the events for each day!

Friday

Friday is the day for comic fans!

Victor Dandridge is hosting a forum on the practices of self-publishing comic books! Sound like your cup of tea? This event will be happening at 5:30!

Superhero fans will have a few separate events to attend during the Friday events, with a panel called Superhero Movies: Past, Present, and Future at 5:30 and one following that at 6:30 called Marvel v. DC: Infinity War and Comics, Rock & Roll, and Censorship at 7:00!

Other notable panels for the first day are Name That Pokemon, Drawing Disney with Clinton Hobart, Cosplay 101, and more!

Will you have children with you? Never fear! There are events geared toward children as well! Check out the Clement Mccrae Marionette and Puppet Show, Foolish Ventures Balloon Artist Ian Mott, Jedi Training, a magic show, and more! You can find those events on the Kid’s Stage.

Wind down the day with a session of yoga! But this is no ordinary yoga. This yoga is called Buffy the Vampire Slayer: A Narrated Yogic Adventure! No mats or yoga clothes required. Just show up and unwind while your narrator takes you through a Buffy journey!

Saturday

Saturday is a day full of excitement!

Doctor Who fans, rejoice! There will be a panel featuring the Twelfth Doctor himself, Peter Capaldi, and everyone’s favorite soufflé girl, Jenna Coleman! This event is happening at noon and is a must-see for any Whovian!

Buffy fans get a treat as well, with a panel featuring Nicholas Brendon and Charisma Carpenter happening at 3:00 p.m. James Marsters will be making an appearance at 4:00 p.m.!

Charlie Sheen will be doing a solo session at 2:00 p.m. Winning!

Barry Bostwick of The Rocky Horror Picture Show fame will also be appearing at 1:00 p.m.

And the fun doesn’t stop there! Check out panels such as a cosplay workshop, Only Sheep Eat Rotten Tomatoes: A DC Film Discussion, a discussion on Guardians of the Galaxy with writer Sam Humphries, I Am Not a Sidekick: A Diversity in Pop Culture Discussion, Doctor Whoniverse Fan Panel, and more!

There will be another Yogaquest session, but Saturday’s theme will be Doctor Who!

Want to show off your nerd knowledge? Head over to the Nerd Off at 5:00 p.m.!

Did we mention costume contest? Put on your best wizarding robes and head to the main stage at 7:00 p.m.! Be advised, you must register to be a part of the contest! You can register at the autographs sales on the exhibition floor. You must register by 4:00 p.m. to be considered! There is also a kids costume contest at 2:00 p.m. No registration required!

Sunday

Beam up the Trekkies! Marina Sirtis of Star Trek: The Next Generation will be speaking at 1:00 p.m.! (Will confirmed guest, the legendary Nichelle Nichols, appear? Fingers crossed!)

Peter Tork and Micky Dolenz of the Monkees will be having a panel at noon! If you’re a music buff, you simply must see these legends in person.

Sunday is packed with dozens of amazing panels perfect for cosplayers and artists. Make sure to check out as many as you can!

The final session of Yogaquest will feature a Star Trek: The Original Series storyline. Pose long and prosper!

Finally, what would Wizard Con be without a Potter panel? Head over to Security Gaps at Hogwarts at 12:30 and get involved in the discussion!

This long list barely scratches the surface of everything there is to do at the exhibition. Check out the full list of events here!

So what are you waiting for? If you don’t already have your tickets, head over there now!
